Recent reviews highlight organized communication, timely project completion, and helpful installation crews. Several customers mention successful replacements of inverters and continued performance years after install. Some feedback raises concerns about diagnostic fees and perceived sales communication. Overall ratings trend positive with emphasis on workmanship and project management.
Mixed experience. The on-site crew was great, courteous, professional, and did high-quality work with solid craftsmanship. However, the overall cost structure felt disappointing, especially with the 10-year warranty. I was charged a substantial mandatory diagnostic fee even though I already knew exactly what the issue was. Then, there was an additional fee for the second visit to install the replacement part (which was covered under the manufacturer's warranty). In the end, the combined cost of those two service visits exceeded the price of buying a brand-new part outright. It would be helpful if the company were more transparent about these extra fees upfront, as they significantly increased the total expense
URGENT WARNING: BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I would rate them 0 stars! The salesman, who claimed to be the owner, was nothing but a BIG LIAR. I told him I met with numerous companies, and needed to get it right to avoid complications with my SKEPTICAL husband. He promised he was different from other salespeople and said all the right things to gain my trust. I was managing this process solo, and being vision impaired, I had him explain the contract in depth so I could understand the terms. I trusted him because he seemed sincere. He told me unlike other companies, they don't advertise but rely on consumer referrals, which is why they get it right the first time. He assured me that the panels would be sufficient and that their quote was significantly lower than others. He mentioned that if I took a loan, they would install insulation in the ceiling and hybrid water heater for free and a variable speed pool pump, which i purchased to reduce electricity usage. I agreed but insisted on having more panels to generate more energy and lower cost. He guaranteed I would have more than enough. On installation day, their contractor arrived and I raised my concerns again. The project manager assured me that she understood and would be available for issues. After installation I made many attempts to get the promised walkthrough, during ehich I was told the panels were operating at 100%. I called the salesman for clarification, and he assured me that there would be a $30 Duke meter charge, and in the long run, we would receive credits that would cover our Duke power charges within 1 yr. He promised that if the panels are not producing sufficient power, they would add more panels for free. I have called and emailed many times, but I have been ghosted. I escalated the issue with someone else, but after a few exchanges, he ghosted me too. I discovered PE solar left Florida and abandoned their customers without notice. Now I'm stuck with a huge electric bill and a solar loan payment. PE Solar eas a branch of this company.
Happy with their work. 3+ years later and working great. Inverter died after about a year but they replaced in about a month for free. Timeline of project went as expected. Seemed like a quality install. Would recommend and use them again! We paid cash so unsure about their financing/lease options.
The best decision I made back in 2010—when I first added solar to my home—was choosing the right local contractor who would be there for the long run. I needed a partner who would design and install a high-quality system, stand behind their workmanship, and be around to support anything that came up. Choosing Russ and Sun Valley Solar Solutions was absolutely the right decision.Fifteen years later, that decision proved itself once again. I recently added three Tesla Powerwall batteries because I wanted full control of the solar energy my system produces. Sun Valley Solar Solutions handled the entire project flawlessly. They also installed my Tesla Wall Charger, which now lets me charge our Cybertruck directly from the sun—something I’m incredibly proud of.With my three Tesla Powerwall units, I’m also able to participate in my utility’s VPP program, which completely changes my relationship with SRP. Instead of just being a customer, I’m now part of the energy ecosystem—SRP actually pays me for the energy my Powerwalls provide. And on top of that, I never have to worry about the grid going down again. After 15 years, I can confidently say Sun Valley Solar Solutions continues to deliver unmatched expertise, service, and long-term support. They’ve earned my trust from day one.
I am highly impressed with Sun Valley Solar Solutions. Manda was a a terrific project manager. Communication was timely and detailed and they ended up completing the installation 4 weeks earlier than expected. In part this is because SRP did their work in a timely way but also because follow-up from the SVSS team was very quick when issues came up. The installation crew was pleasant and hard working and explained when I had questions. I was a little nervous about using the Tesla app to appropriately schedule when the battery was used to cover On Peak time frames and was relieved to have support from Bill who is amazing. He knows so much about the battery, the apps (Tesla app and Netzero automation), and SRP process and metering, that set up was quick and his “tutoring” was helpful.I highly recommend this firm.
