Communication and responsiveness are recurring themes.
What over priced solar set up. Too over a year to get it going and it does not produce the amount of power promised. The government tax return was a scam as you don't get the amount back as told by the seller. So now I pay double for utility cast for the next 20 yrs. Sure sign me up again. See you in court
Only giving one star because I can give negative stars. I got my solar panels installed 7/15/21! Up to today the optimizers are not paired and have not been producing power to my house. Still have a huge electric bill due to size of house and up charge for summer hours, I have not been able to get in contact with anybody from this company. I have called, emailed about this issue for 3 years now! I gave them a huge chance and trusted the company and here I am. 3 years with a system that does nothing for me, I have an electric bill and on top of that I have a bill for a solar panel system that does not work one bit!! Maybe I can get in contact with them after this review, I had really high hopes with this company and all they did was let me down!!!
The price was good, assuming the costs keep to what was promised. Installation was done less then a week after bid. But, it has been over 2 months and they have yet to file the final paperwork for the inspection to be done and thus the panels have yet to be activated. But, I am still being required to make payments on them and it's nearly impossible to get ahold of someone. They don't seem to return emails or messages.01/20/2024. They still have not sent in the final paperwork. As far a consumers energy is concerned no pannals have been installed.the direct number to my case manager has been disconnected. And all of the numbers listed on the web site say someone will be right with you and then hangup the line.
Pretty much an echo of all the other 1 star reviews...-No communication: Once they deem they are done with your install of solar panels, they deleted the email that was used to communicate with me, and NO OTHER avenues except a SINGLE PERSON'S PHONE in the ENTIRE COMPANY was willing to respond to any of my several messages through several avenues.-Incomplete install: My solar panels are up, sure, but what are they doing for me? Nothing. My consumers energy bill is still what it used to be 4 months after the install was essentially abandoned.-Little to no warning of appointments: I was given a max of 16 hours notice before work was to be done. Now this is usually a good thing, quick work getting done quickly is always great, but the notices were given in a way that made it seem i could not dispute it. I had to cancel some plans for the install appointments.-Unbelievably infrequent updates: The only time i was able to get updates on the install, and any information at all, was if i contacted them directly, but now they don't respond to me at all so all I get is lost patience.-Unfulfilled promises: I don't think they keep track of anything, I was promised a label strip and a wifi connector to track solar panel energy production on my phone, on top of a COMPLETED INSTALL, but I have received none of them.I know many people look around at the 2-4 star reviews more than 1 star and 5 star, but just take a look at the number of negative reviews, do you really want to take a 50% shot at a good experience? No. No you don't. Don't waste your time, look somewhere else.
Stay far away from this company. Signed our contract March of 2022 and paid first half in April of 2022. We started calling Michigan Solar in July of 2022 as they had not started our project yet. They stated they had no record of us. Finally found us and our money in their records. Panels were finally installed in December with 2nd and final payment made at their request when they were here to start install. One and only inspection done first week of January 2023 and failed due to panels not being installed per approved plans. Problems still not taken care of and have not had another inspection. Being completely ignored by Michigan Solar and Roofing. Can’t comment on quality as we can’t turn system on. Won’t respond to emails or answer their phone.August 17, 2023 Still have not heard from Michigan Solar. Nothing more has been done. No inspections since the one and only inspection done in January. Ignoring our emails and phone calls. Time for legal action.Sent you our address right after your request on this post and called your office and left a message. Still no response from you. Clearly you don’t want to make things right.
