Had them out to our house to look at install options. Tried emailing and calling the rep for 3 weeks with no response at all. If this is the level of service you get when trying to plan a project and give them money I can’t imagine it gets any better once you’ve already paid a 50% deposit… Maybe this is just a staffing issue but if they lack the capacity to respond to simple customer emails and phone calls that says a lot about the operation. They also were unable to even offer a solution (after 3 weeks of silence) for a system with a backup generator and solar panels. This sort of system is fairly common in our area in the mountains of boulder county and the fact this apparently was impossible for their team to figure out doesn’t speak to a high level of technical competence.
We could not be happier with our experience with Sandbox Solar. Ian, GJ and AJ were great through the entire process. They are a smaller company that has provided us with exceptional customer service. Ian was always available to answer questions on the phone, through text, or email. Their installation crew was friendly and professional. Not only did Sandbox Solar have a better price, but other companies told us the process would take 4-6 months, and Sandbox Solar had our system up and producing energy in less than a month! We would highly recommend them if you are considering going solar.
Sandbox Solar designed and installed our solar array. Other than a couple of scheduling glitches that were promptly resolved, the project went flawlessly.Justin from the sales department followed every aspect of the design, permits, installation and commissioning. He was super responsive to any questions we had. Easily accessible with information and links to articles. The installation crews were quick and did a great install. I'm a pretty picky customer and can recommend Sandbox Solar.
Sandbox Solar was a lifesaver when we needed our panels taken down and put back up around a roof repair. We inherited a solar lease through Tesla when we bought our home, and Tesla made scheduling the removal/reinstall nearly impossible! Sandbox Solar was able to take them down the day before the repair and put them up within a few days of the roof being inspected and cleared. The team was professional, friendly, and responsive.
