Worked with Paul & Dave from Solar Direct on a residential solar installation to power a suburban home with heat pump and an electric car. I got all the power I needed in a reasonable amount of panels, which was updated when new technology was available to actually save me money. They were friendly, professional, and prompt with responses through the whole process, and I felt kept in the loop and in the know. I got a clear plan of the installation, and it went off without too much trouble even during a particularly quickly-freezing November that made working on the roof dangerous for a few days. They even came by to help tweak my drainage after the installation, which was much appreciated. I got referred by my parents and I've referred two others since, that goes to show my overall appraisal. Solar Direct was great and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to power their home.

Dave and his crew did an excellent job with the install and kept me well-informed throughout the process. Dave also went above and beyond by helping with a separate project I was working on since he had the right tools on site. Highly recommend!
Ray and his team have provided a great product and outstanding service. We have had our system for almost three years and any time I have had a question, Ray is quick to respond. I only wish other businesses had such great service and follow up service.
I dealt with Ray, the apparent owner of Solar Direct Canada. To be clear, this is some guy working out of his garage at his house. I purchased 29 new and used m190 micro inverters from him. Drove from Toronto to his home/business in Acton to pick them up. Paid and left. I started the removal and re-install at my home, and some of the equipment was missing. He assured me it would be no problem to replace what was missing. He literally went dark after that for 4 months. I called and texted 20 times. He Gave me some bullshit that he doesn’t text. We only ever communicated by text. Be wary of your dealing with them. I don’t know if he rips everyone off….but he did with me. I could say more of how he tried to upsell me on an old system and how he has a legal way to hack your system to produce 4 or five times your pay back. Unfortunately you have to lie to Ontario Hydro and buy a mega system from him . He is corrupt and somewhat self entitled. Just be wary and aware of your dealings with Ray, Solar Direct Canada. I’m sure he’ll retort. It’ll be made up to make me sound nuts or something along those lines. All you had to do Ray, was to replace what was missing. You chose not to. Customer service is the cornerstone of trust. You failed
