Phenomenal customer service! Jenna, our project manager, was always available for phone calls and responded to emails in record time. Pat Lynch was our go to guy and helped us along every step, especially with PGE issues. Pat was amazing. The installation crew was polite and never left a mess at the end of the day. Every person we met along the way from Richard Koi, the owner to the guys on the roof were professional. We are very happy and satisfied that we chose Sun River to be our solar company.
BUYER BEWARE!We learned the hard way! Sunriver designed our system incorrectly based on our needs and shade! Systems used in this area need Micro or Power Optimizer Inverters. We were told that 29 panels and 2 Powerwall batteries were sufficient for our home! They sold us a system that was suppose to cover all our electrical needs. Since this system failed to cover our needs, we purchased an additional 13 panels and 1 additional Powerwall, for a total of 42 panels. These additional panels were supposed to provide us with 125% of our needs. To date, it has not covered a full day's usage, and we continue to buy from the grid. The additional panels have NOT increased production. The weather in October and November was pretty good and we could not figure out why we were having this problem. The owner came out to discuss our issues and sent a crew out to review the installed system. After their review of our system, they said the system was producing as it was designed. (Not a good design!) They could not give us a reason for the drop in production. They recommended we wait a year to see what the annual production was.A few of our neighbors have the inverters installed on their system and are very happy with their production. (Less panels, better production, and lower PGE bills) Their systems work very well even with many trees. We would not recommend the system Sunriver offers for this area. Nor would we recommend Sunriver!
It was a pleasure working with the staff and installers at SunRiver Solar. From the start, our sales associate, Pat Lynch, was thorough, informative, and incredibly patient—answering every question and concern we had. Even after we signed the contract, he continued to make himself available, which we truly appreciated. Our project manager, April Simons, was equally outstanding. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and proactive throughout the process. April kept us updated at every stage and provided invaluable support with the required HOA documents. With the federal tax credit set to expire in just a few months, the situation felt stressful, but her professionalism and guidance helped put us at ease. The installation team was clearly well-trained and highly experienced. They worked efficiently, treated our property with respect, and were always willing to answer our questions. Rick Crawford coordinated seamlessly with the county inspector—arriving early to ensure everything was in order—which resulted in our permit being approved without a single issue. We highly recommend SunRiver Solar. Every improvement to your home should go as smoothly and seamlessly as our experience with them.
Sunriver Solar has consistently provided excellent service and products over the eight years I have worked with them. My system was installed eight years ago and it still works excellently, my PG&E bills remain minimal and the cost of fire insurance reduced by %30 based on tree removal they recommended. Recently, I replaced a roof and had another repaired. Sunriver, deinstalled the system and promptly reinstalled it. Their crews are safe, courteous and professional; and completely CalOSHA compliant. Highly recommend!!
Sunriver Solar is an outstanding company! They have done a fantastic job communicating with us and getting our solar array running properly. Mikayla, who runs the maintenance department as well as Ben, who came out to work on our array have been outstanding. The sales team, Ashley and Austin have also been superb. I can’t say enough good things about the company. They are A+ rated with the BBB and we would give them an A+++ rating. We are so grateful that we have them not only to maintain our solar but also add a battery wall to our solar system. There have very competitive rates and we would highly recommend them for any solar needs.
