There were A LOT of mistakes during my project installation that delayed power for several months, but there was good followup to correct the mistakes and offer some compensation.

Later I found that my sunlight backup feature was not working. It was not clear for 6 months if it was an installation error or problem with the manufacturer's hardware/software.

Enphase said Astrawatt didn't install correctly and Astrawatt said something was wrong with Enphase equipement.

My installer offered to refund me for the cost of this feature but now 11 months later that promise has not been fulfilled. Supposedly the problem has been corrected but now I'm told that my system is not large enough to support the feature.

Both Enphase marketing and the Astrawatt team drastically oversold this equipment. They installed the subpanel claiming what the feature could support, and now say it will not support those circuits.

Currently awaiting a response but it took over 100 hours of my time so far to hopefully get this problem to someone who will make it right.

I want to clarify that the technicians from both Astrawatt and Enphase are generally good. I think the problem is that both companies prioritize new clients rather than warranty.

In my experience, there's less than a 50% response rate and during several extended time periods it was 0%. I'm 99% certain they were ignoring me. Sometimes you can call the new customer line to get someone but then they take a message and don't call back.

I wanted to wait a year before giving out this review. It's been a year now, as of April '25. In a few words, I found them to be a good group of people. I have no regrets...

When I first contacted Astrawatt, I made it known that I had already dealt with an unscrupulous Solar company. I just did not want a repeat of rushing into signing a large volume of Docusign forms filled with multiple waivers.

I took my time researching Solar companies before deciding on Astrawatt. My contract is small and without waivers.

My whole mindset has changed too. Before I stressed out over my energy bill. Now, I don't hesitate to crank the A/C or allow sunlight into my home. It's always comfortable here. My energy bill pales as well.

I'm really glad I purchased a battery. I found it to be priceless.

Next up is an EV charger!

We were hesitant to go solar but after the arctic freeze of 2020 we did not want to be powerless for days on end ever again! Over an 8mo period we researched the pros and cons, sought quotes from three companies, and decided RisingSun was absolutely the best choice. We did panels plus the Enphase battery and WE ARE SO PLEASED! Paul, our sales rep provided no hard sell, just relaxed professional approach with excellent info and details to help us make the best decision for our household needs. Bianca and Tyler provided top notch care and coordination, overseeing our install and launch of becoming a more energy efficient home front. They were patient and attentive to all of our needs and questions and gave us the best experience we could have hoped for. If you are considering having a better energy independence option that is also very economical long term, this is the way to go.

Updated review with video (2 parts!) :

Best decision ever! Bought this system (panels and battery backup for powering essentials) after the Texas FREEZE. Held us together through hurricane beryl. Phew!! Love that we send energy back to the grid and gain credits monthly too. Going to save us $ long term and keep us powered with what we need to survive in these crazy outages.

Astrawatt is the best solar company! They stepped in when the others like ADT Solar and SunPro failed-thank you for your assistance with our detach and reset. We also added 4 panels tot the array.

Worked with Scott R. on getting solar. He made the process super simple and easy to understand. I was in the market for solar for a while, and had received bids from multiple companies, but shortly after speaking with Scott, the decision to go with RisingSun was a no brainer. Our panels have been on for about a month now, and couldn't be more happier with the install and overall performance. A++ highly recommend!
