Bright Earth my houses solar project & he helped guide me through the process from beginning to end.
You can tell they care about the customer by their communication which I've heard horror stories about with other companies!
5 stars all the way!!

I initially reached out to this solar company based on some of the reviews I saw, but my experience was disappointing. While the salesperson was friendly at first, it quickly became clear that their equipment was subpar and didn’t meet industry standards. Their warranties were also far below what other reputable companies provide, which raised some serious concerns for me.

After comparing quotes, I found much better options with higher-quality equipment and more comprehensive warranties. On top of that, they used high-pressure tactics to try and get me to sign the same day by offering a financial incentive, which felt more like a red flag than a benefit.

One thing I found particularly interesting was their abundance of five-star reviews. Some of the names looked questionable to me, so out of curiosity, I Googled a few of them. In several cases, I couldn’t find any information about these individuals, which made me wonder about the authenticity of those reviews. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, but it’s worth noting.

If you’re considering this company, I strongly recommend reviewing the contract carefully, doing thorough research, and comparing their offer to more established companies. For me, transparency and quality are critical, and this company fell short on both.

I was very satisfied when I first approached this company, especially looking at the reviews. I anticipated a motivated, fun, outgoing and knowledgeable sales person along with great installation. However I don’t know what has changed, because my experience was far from the reviews. It started out fruitful; smiles and good conversation but however it soon became aware that was all a facade, it was all smoke and mirrors. Very quickly turned into the stereotypical bad sales; with things like irritable and outward frustration toward questions and lying about tax credits, and more. It would be my current recommendation to go somewhere else.

I initially received a quote from a solar company that I didn’t know much about, and I thought it was a good deal. However, after getting quotes from more established companies, I found that their prices were at least $50–$100 less per month. Multiple companies also explained that the panels this company uses are not tier-one quality.

The whole process seemed a bit sketchy. I won’t name the company I went with, as I believe that would be inappropriate, but they are a nationwide company that has been in business for over 10 years. My advice is to go with a company that is more established. This company also offered me $3,500 if I signed the same day, which added to my concerns.

I’m very satisfied with the work done. My salesman made multiple visits to our house to meet our needs. He was not pushy and simply explained how solar works, our savings and offered finance pricing that was so competitive that the solar sold itself. Would definitely recommend. Thank you sunny

Frequently Asked Questions

Most projects start with a consultation and proposal, then move into permitting and scheduling. Installation itself is commonly completed in one to several days, followed by inspections and utility approval before the system goes live. Actual timing varies by city permitting and utility processing. Your project coordinator can outline a specific timeline once details are confirmed.

If your roof is near the end of its useful life, it’s wise to address it before installing solar. During the site assessment, the team evaluates roof condition and layout to recommend next steps. They can design around obstructions or discuss alternatives if replacement is advisable. Final recommendations depend on roof age, material, and shading.

System sizing is based on your past utility usage, available roof or ground space, and your goals for offsetting electricity. The designer will review your bills and site characteristics to model expected production. You’ll receive a proposal showing projected output and savings. Adjustments can be made to align with budget and space.

After installation, inspections and utility interconnection approval are completed before the system is activated. Monitoring is set up so you can track production. You’ll receive basic guidance on what to expect on your bill and who to contact with questions. Support is available if any issues arise during the first months of operation.

Incentives vary by location and utility and can change over time. The team can point you to current programs and outline any required paperwork during the proposal stage. Many customers also discuss the federal investment tax credit with a tax professional. Availability and eligibility depend on your specific situation.
