Really happy with my purchase from Canadian Solar. The kit was reasonably priced, did exactly what I needed (running a cpap and device chargers off grid for several days in a row), and the local pickup option was a huge help for me as I was on a very tight timeline.Ashley was fantastic to deal with and extremely helpful getting things up and running quickly.
The service from Ashley is amazing, he answered emails long after working hours that I didn't expect to get answered so quickly. His advice was excellent and even saved me money. The panels were shipped very fast and arrived in perfect condition. The topper is that hooked to a Victron charge controller, they're performing consistently above specs. I couldn't be happier with CND Solar, Ashley or my new Panels!
I have dealt with Ashley at Canadian Solar for several purchases and would not hesitate to recommend him, and this company. Excellent and timely communication, fast shipping, great prices without sacrificing support: really, all you can ask for from a vendor. Very well deserved 5 stars!
I ordered a 12.8Kw kit from Canadian Solar Wholesale back in Sept 2022. I couldn't find an installer that didn't tack on an extra $10,000 or quoted me 2023 installation date.Shipment is reasonable when you consider the fact that my kit was 2200 lbs and shipped to Northern Alberta (would have costed me more to drive there and pick it up). I didn't have any experience installing Solar panel on a house but through research and the help of Ashley @ cdnsolar, the hardest part was carrying 36 panels up a ladder to install on the roof. The solar kit had everything to install the panels to rails and roof. Correct wire lengths from panels to microinverter and tech cable from junction box to local disconnect. You can source some electrical cabling locally if your community has the stores (my town prices are too pricey for non-contractors). You will still need a few connectors and breakers that are easy for the electrician to install. The all Black panels blend into my roof (black shingles) and a few anti-solar neighbours actually think my panel aren't an eye sore so total worth the small extra costs. Something to think of when you have 3 neighbours directly staring at my roof everyday.DYI Kit was definitely the way to go and wouldn't have any problems recommending Cdn Solar Wholesale again. Take advantage of the rebates and zero interest free loans people! On a separate note for you DYI's: Your final completed electrical permit and bi-directional meter can take 6-8weeks. Surprised me as how you have to keep on this because you can be forgotten (in Alberta anyways).
Ashley's service was GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!!.I decided to go with the Victron 3000 watt solar kit minus the Victron batteries. I'm a DIYer currently building/converting a school bus into a mobile tiny home. I'm not an expert at building a solar/electrical system but Ashley helped me with my schematic drawing and choosing the correct gauge wires. He was always accommodating with all my questions. Upon our two meetings, Ashley and Mark were a wealth of information. Any stumbling blocks along the way, of my build, Ashley always responded to my emails in a timely manner. With some 56 emails and 2 meetings later I'm almost ready to fire up my system. If you're in the Kelowna area you can pick up your system. I would highly RECOMMEND Ashley and Canadian Solar Wholesale anytime. Karri in Kelowna. One week later and its really working awesome. Just figuring out the system for conserving battery power. Running everything from Induction Stove Top, Microwave, Convection Oven, Kettle, Vacuum, Rice Cooker and my DC Fridge. Thanks again Ashley, as always, for your GREAT input.
