My solar system was installed in 2009 and is a legacy 5kwh 27 panel (210W/panel) 'string' system. My inverter finally died after 17 years and I called 5+ installers/providers to simply replace the inverter. My solar panels were still generating high capacity. Every single contractor wanted to 'rip and replace' my entire system which would be $16K+. And, they wanted a minimum of $300 simply to visit and tell me what was needed to 'fix' the system ( new inverter). And, their fee wouldn't even be applied to any future work they did.... it was simply an inconvenience fee for them. Since my panels were still producing at a high level, I wanted to leverage what I already have. Kobi, the principle at SunSolar US, was the only contractor who did the old fashion visit without the 'inconvenience' fee. He agreed that the existing panels were solid and offered an alternative that saved me 50%. We leveraged the existing panels and installed 'solar optimizers' on each exiting panel and replaced the inverter. I've seen a 10% increase in production in March and I expect the summer months will provide a greater increase. And, we didn't need to rip anything out and poke new holes into my roof. New solar monitoring capability is amazing and provides generation details down to the individual panel level. The upgrade is battery storage ready as a snap-on in the future. Crew was on-time, clean, professional and done in 2 days. Highly recommend.
Working with Kobi and his team was a great experience. The whole project was a friendly collaboration from end to end, with us working together to figure out the best overall design for the system. We're thrilled with the results and all the hard work that went into it as they raced to get the project finished before year's end (a challenge due to poor weather). The end result is a system which fully powers us from solar even in the depths of winter, but with solar panels and electrical systems that are almost completely hidden from view through careful placement. Sign these guys up. They'll take great care of you.
I’ve had a solar system from SunSolar for 10 years now and it is working perfectly. They just installed a system at my daughter’s. Kobi is great he is very efficient and will respond to any call immediately. I can’t be more pleased and I would recommend them to everyone.
After comparing multiple companies, SunSolar U.S. stood out with the best pricing and the easiest experience. The installation looks great on my home, and everything was handled without hassle. I’d happily work with them again.
Sun Solar was solid from start to finish. Install was smooth, communication was clear, and the system works exactly as expected. No fluff, no surprises. Just a clean process and panels that deliver.highly recommend !They handled everything the right way and made it easy.
