Madison Mobile Solar, LLC (MadMob Solar,) completely reworked a 2018 RoadTrek CS Adventurous KS2 system that was unreliable whenever we needed power for anything electrical in the van. Anytime we needed any degree of power, (microwave, boiler, AC etc.) the inverter would trip and we would lose power at critical moments . They, (Sean and Jon,) analyzed the system in place and asked questions about what we needed for power. They researched our needs and identified a solution. They recommended a Victron/Epoch system. It included a Victon Inverter with multiple shunts, a new solar control panel charge controller with a shutoff switch along with a new Victron Cerbo GX touch screen interface that is controllable on a smart phone. The Battery Bank system consists of 2 x 12V 460 Amp-hour LiFePO4 units made by the company Epoch. After installation, MadMob Solar ran multiple tests on the system before turning the vehicle over to us. The system is incredible. I ran, the AC, microwave and had the refrigerator running while watching the power usage on my phone app. I would recommend Madison Mobile Solar to anyone looking to upgrade their power system for travel.
Absolutely blown away by the attention to detail and communication throughout the process. I brought in my bus with a non-working electrical system built by someone else. Jon was able to diagnose and fix the issue quickly and get my system back online. When it came time to expand and upgrade my system I had full confidence that Jon was the right person for the job. He did phenomenal work and I won’t hesitate to take my rig back in anytime it needs attention.
I purchased a camper that had solar package installed by the previous owners. Jon went through the system, confirmed everything was installed properly. He updated all the software for the Victron components and confirmed everything was working properly (charge control, inverter, solar panel). Then he took the time to explain how the entire system worked and help me get access to Victron's Bluetooth components. Finally he replaced an old voltage gauge with an upgraded Victron Cerbo GX display panel so I can see everything the system is doing. I had a fantastic experience working with Jon and I would recommend his work to anyone no matter what your mobile solar project is.
Brought our new to us 19' Escape Trailer to Jon for review of the previous owners DIY lithium upgrade. Our goals were to confirm previous work was completed adequately and desire to add additional battery capacity with better system management. Jon walked us through his thoughts on the existing system pointing out areas of weakness that needed attention and how we could incorporate the additional components we requested. Jon then provided a detailed proposal detailing work required to meet our system goals with monetary amounts for each stage of work. As some aspects of the project were unquantifiable initially, reasonable dollar amounts were used as place holders in the proposal.As can be seen in the photos the upgraded system was beautifully installed and functions as proposed.We now have 540 amp hours of lithium power with a 3000 watt Victron Multiplus Inverter, Victron Solar Controller for the 400 watts of rooftop solar, Victron 50 amp DC to DC charger, all controlled with a Victron Cerbo GX w/70 monitor.At the end of the day the project came in about $100 over the proposal for a couple additional parts that needed replacing.My wife and I couldn't be happier with how thorough Jon was to work with in making sure we understood the ins and outs of the system upgrades.We highly recommend MMS.Sheila and Bob Heilman
I reached out to Jon regarding adding solar to my RV. Jon took the time to walk me through my options. We met and developed a plan to meet my needs and design my solar project. Jon was able to complete the project ahead of time and far exceeded my expectations. Jon is detailed and has vast knowledge of solar systems however more important he is a good honest person.
