Fantastic experience! I interviewed four companies in the summer of 2025. The goal: to install a 10 panel solar array on my garage before Jan 2026, to chase expiring tax credits. Two companies dropped the ball (Tesla & 603). Granite State Solar and one other (All Energy Solar) were on point, but GSS went above & beyond with an initial on-site inspection with drone map, & followed up THAT NIGHT with a detailed proposal / projected solar production based on the drone map, in-line w/my budget—all before I had to pay for or sign anything. GSS also seemed to have specific local knowledge the other's didn't (I’m in Thornton, NH). It was a no brainer to pull the trigger w/them. After that, they outlined a schedule to get permits, deliver the panels, do the install, & work with my electric company (NHEC) to finalize the details (meter, credits, etc). It went like clockwork. Every employee I interacted with at Granite State Solar was on-point. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly, quick to reply, and—especially Ashlee—bulldogs on my behalf with NHEC when they delayed things, or threw up red tape. GSS partners with third party contractors for small jobs like mine when they’re super busy, but the third party crew (Roger & Mike) were amazing. Quick, super friendly, quality work, & they rolled with the punches. There was a modification needed, due to some unexpected roof structures—that is to say, something went wrong. Roger worked with me & Ashley & the fix was sorted & the panel layout modified in three hours with no extra cost to me. It’s one thing when everything goes right, that’s great. But, when something goes wrong & everyone reacts professionally w/no drama, that’s a more valuable data point for me & gives me confidence in GSS going forward / long-term. Eric took over at the end & did a fantastic job clearing up any last questions I had abt how to use the Enphase monitoring software & what I should expect over the first year & first five years. One of the best customer experiences of my life. Love my solar panels!
Granite State Solar has been awesome to do business with. From the first phone call they were very responsive and informative about their solar program and generators as well. They performed the solar work needed for my system and got it up and running quickly. My generator was installed just as seamlessly and once everything was inspected, was tied in and will now provide all of the power I will need if the power goes out.I know there are many solar companies out there, but Granite State Solar's reputation speaks for itself and I would, without hesitation, recommend Granite State Solar to anyone looking for a solar system or generator for their home or business.
Granite State Solar did everything they said they would in our preliminary meeting. They expedited all the permits and kept us informed every step of the way. They finished on the schedule we agreed to, enabling use to complete the project before the federal tax rebate expired. Thomas and Ashley were knowledgeable and patient with use through all of our questions. They were also helpful in setting up the apps we needed to monitor our new system. The people who installed our solar system were professional and conscientious.
From beginning to installation completion GSS was great to deal with. I was a little leery of having panels installed, not because I didn't want them, but because I had doubts the panels would ever pay for themselves given the orientation of the house. But after discussions with Andrew about the types and number of panels and rebates (which Trump killed after this year) I decided to have panels installed.Installation took 1 day and is super clean. I'm very happy with the looks of the installation. I'm also pleasantly surprised by the output of the panels. Granted, this was based on the time of year is when the panels were producing peak power, but still, they were producing more than I expected.I also appreciated that GSS handles all of the permitting and dealings with the power company. I only had to sign one set of electronic documents.
