EDIT April 2021.We bought from Mark twice after my first review (Sept 2019 and April 2021), 19 more panels and later another inverter. Both times he was very fast at shipping, everything was packed very good and my wife and I are still very pleased with his service and prices for the equipment. We bought a 2.7kW system from Mark. He was very helpful about everything. The lithium batteries we bought did not work with our system because the inrush current was too great for just 2 batteries and we could not afford 3 of them to make it work. Had to go with a lead acid option. That was not Mark's fault at all. He refunded us for the batteries with no issues. The inverter and solar panels work great. Mark has about the best price in Canada even with the shipping. When we were troubleshooting the lithium battery problem, Mark didn't give us any excuses. He was very knowledgeable about his products and answered all my questions promptly.I am very satisfied with Mark's customer service and I am so glad that we took a chance with his business. Living in Northwestern Ontario, we weren't in any position to see his store to feel more at ease with a physical location. But we looked at what reviews we could find and used Google Street View to see his store.I highly recommend that you give Mark your business and you won't be disappointed.
We came to SAW as it was recommend to us by our electrician + we needed help with certain mounting rails for our solar panels that we are installing on top of our van (to live in)! The product we received didn't work for us in the end, but Mark rectified our situation + provided us with a solution that worked out. Thanks again Mark!
I had two flexible 100watt panels for almost one year when the amps they were producing dropped dramatically (maybe from the way I mounted and used them). Mark confirmed my purchase date (51 weeks) tested the panels and replaced them immediately. I will try and secure them better on our boat this time to ensure the wind can't get under them.[The 2 new 100watt panels are working great. Approximately 11.5 amps at around noon ]
I would highly recommend SAW Technology to anyone looking for anything solar related. Mark is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions I had and find the right setup for me. He’s a man of his word, I purchased my solar panels and batteries and came back a week later to find they were on sale, without question he refunded the difference. 5/5 star review so far! I’ve yet to hookup and test everything but no doubt in my mind if there was any problems Mark would be there to help! Awesome store with awesome trustworthy people!
Be wary of this company. Flexible solar panels we bought for our boat from them are failing. When I contacted SAW Technology their spokesman was already aware of the defect and said it was a "quality" issue and they have since changed manufacturers. However, the pictures of the panels in their ad are exactly the same as the failed ones. SAW said we were out of luck because the one year warranty for this defective product had expired and accepted no responsibility.
