Lightwave did a tremendous job with our solar and Tesla battery back up system !We did a full house back up with Tesla power walls, and enough panels to generate about 60% of our requirement. We plan to add more panels in the coming year as well to further expand our production and back up power. From planning, to engineering, install and then walk through teaching how the system works has been amazing. Some of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with.We get some nasty storms in TN and the security of knowing this system is there has been great and has come in handy several times already.Really appreciated the reduced energy bills as well!I’d strongly recommend Lightwave for any solar or back up need.
We installed our system about two and a half years ago. Our system in 2025 resulted in us being 58% self powered which is amazing! With this ice storm that brought down the power grid in Nashville, we were 100% self powered!!!! We turned off our HVAC systems, managed our usage, and heated our house with a gas fireplace and an electric fan circulating the air. This kept our house at 70-76 degrees. We even had full internet! We had power throughout the 7 days we were off the grid. We had a neighbor family stay with us as well as my friend and his son. We ran a power cord to elderly neighbors who didn't want to leave and had a gas fireplace that heated their home. They were able to cook and light their home. The team at Lightwave Solar built us a system that truly helped us survive, as my daughter has said, a snowpocalypse!!!!
We were very happy with our solar array and battery backup from LightWave. So when we built a new home, it was a certainty that we would go back to LightWave for the same setup at the new house. I have recommended that company to many friends. No hesitation.
DON'T GET SOLAR!!!! It is a waste of Money!!! We have had our system for many years now and it's a big one. Its covers the whole roof of our business. It was just over a $100,000 project. was told that it would pay for it self around year 5. Well it has not and I would much rather have my money back!! We began to have issues with it not producing the same power output after about 2 years of being installed and it began to produce less and less each year. So the project landed on my desk to handle. Called and was told that lightwave could no longer see into our system and that we had some issues with the equipment. It took about two months from the initial contact before a tech was sent out to look at the problem. After about a week of going back and forth they had replace some converter boxes but was also told that we had panels on the the roof that were no longer operational and that they would then put in an order to replace those. Well all this took place around April of 2025 and here we are into Oct of 2025 and I still have a $100,000 solar system on my roof that is not functioning as it should and no one will call me back after many e-mail and phone calls. AND my warranty ran out at the end of September!! So I'm sure I will get somewhere now since I will have to pay out of pocket for everything again!!!! At this time my opinion of this company and product is DON'T DO IT, Don't use them!!!
We had an exceptional experience with Lightwave Solar for our solar panel and battery storage installation in 2025. After evaluating quotes from four contractors, we chose Lightwave Solar for their professionalism, extensive experience since 2006, and specialized focus on solar and battery systems. Their detailed site assessment, including attic and roof inspections plus a drone flyover, far surpassed the cursory evaluations or phone-based quotes from others. Their quote was thorough, transparent, and competitively priced, coming in as the second-lowest among the bids. The team—Brian Titus, Liam Keele, Karen Carr, and Evan Fitzgerald—was outstanding, addressing every question and concern throughout the project. Our system, featuring 23 REC 460 Pure solar panels (10.58 kW capacity) and one Tesla Powerwall 3, was commissioned in June 2025 and has performed flawlessly. The panels deliver high power output, and the Powerwall 3 seamlessly powered our home, including AC, during a 9-hour grid-disconnect test and multiple power outages without us noticing. When we observed a dip in panel output a month after installation, Liam promptly diagnosed an issue with the solar array, and the crew resolved it within days, restoring optimal performance.Lightwave Solar’s expertise, dedicated service department, and in-house fleet set them apart. We couldn’t be happier with our system’s performance and their exceptional service. We highly recommend Lightwave Solar to anyone considering solar panels and battery storage in Tennessee.
