It's been 3 and a half years since we went solar with Aegis Solar Energy, and we couldn't be happier. Our system has performed flawlessly, easily beating their guaranteed production year over year. I'm not your average solar buyer - while I live in CT, I work for a solar firm based in MA, and we aren't licensed in CT. So when I wanted to install solar, I had to look for a reputable firm that treats their customers right, just like the folks I work for. Leslie Higgins and Aegis fit that bill spectacularly, I would highly recommend them for anyone looking at solar power.

From Salesperson Nathan Hernandez to operations/compliance/project manager extraordinnaire Sarah Moore (AND the installation team) everyone has been quick, clear, helpful, and supportive along the way. Pricing was competitive, drawings were clear, they knew how to manage the compliance/approval/permit process, and provided us with the guidance we needed to get the project done. Before we hired a solar company, my wife and I did extensive research and interviewed three final contenders. We chose Aegis because they seemed to present the best mix of competence, honesty, and price. The honesty piece is very important because there are a lot of snake oil salesmen out there. In the end, we were very happy with Aegis and the system they designed/installed. That is not to say there were no snafus. Note, for example, that everyone in the industry tends to over-promise on timing, and our system did not come on line until several months after we expected. However, most of the delays were attributable to others (such as slow action on multiple approvals needed from the town and utility). Everything will go smoother if expectations on timing are tempered from the beginning. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Aegis, and we recommend them highly.

He was sensitive to the aesthetics of the grid on the front of our house and sized the system to accommodate our plug-in hybrid car. The installers are experienced and have worked for the company for many years. The office staff answers the phone directly and addresses your questions immediately. We found everything about this company very well done so we are pleased to give Aegis our highest recommendation.
