Great Sales Pitch, But No Service or AccountabilityI signed up with high hopes, but the 10-year warranty turned out to be worthless. Despite repeated requests, they have never provided an inspection report. Instead, they’ve shifted blame multiple times—first to my siding company, then power washers, squirrels, and even high winds.I first called in June. Months later, they only came out to shut the system off, citing safety concerns, and told me to “call someone else.” The owner even admitted he put me “at the back of the bus” and voided my warranty.Now I’m facing both my solar bill and my electric bill going into fall and winter—through no fault of my own. I’ve since reported the situation to the manufacturer, BBB, Attorney General, and DCP.
I definitely recommend Prime Energy Solar! I have always been skeptical about getting solar since I was receiving at least 1 call a day from companies trying to sell it to me. It almost seemed like a scam. After I got my electric bill last August I had had enough. I called a few friends of mine to see who they use for solar and they all recommended Prime Energy Solar. I couldn’t be more happy! Their staff was amazing, they call or write back right away and they explain everything to me thats hard to understand. I bought my panels over a 27 year loan and my price never goes up and I have a lifetime warranty as long as I’m still living here. The price of electricity is so high now, I can’t imagine how it will be in 10/20 years, but I know I’ll still be paying the same. Do yourself a favor and give them a call!
The owner Shawn was amazing during the entire process. He came out and designed a PV system that met our needs. The installation team was speedy and respectful of our home. We did have a slight issue with the system shortly after it was turned on, but the installation team came out quickly to resolve it and we have had no issues since
My friend Doug Wade works there and I knew I had a trusted person looking out for us, as there have been so many solar companies that have come and gone. Mike Gallagher worked with Doug to see the whole process through to the end. Excellent experience, communication superb and price was fair for what we got. We got a solar package including a needed new roof, all came out beautiful. I am looking forward to a 30% tax credit next year. This is a very good company with super trustworthy people to work with.
