We love our solar panels and are so happy we got them. We are even happier that we worked with NY Power Solutions and our sales guy Mike White. First off, we haven’t paid an electric bill in a year. We started saving money as soon as we installed them but it took a couple of years for me to realize what a difference this is making in our lives, particularly as electricity rates seem to be going on daily. Second, the panels are gorgeous. We upgraded on the panels for a small amount of money and gained greater efficiency on their production and they look really cool on our roof. Turns out they have tiny cages underneath the panels to keep critters from moving in, that was a thoughtful feature we hadn’t realized they came with. Third, we feel really proud that we are making so much solar power. We would definitely get more of these in the future if we expand our needs such as with an electric vehicle. Fourth, NY Power Solutions worked with us to avoid cutting down trees which other companies were insisting we do. We ended up buying four more panels which was a lot cheaper than removing more trees and now we have all the power we need and all the trees we wanted to keep. Lastly, Mike has been a gem to work with. He’s a good communicator, very knowledgable, stays in touch, and he kept his word on everything since day one. No surprises except that the whole thing has worked out even better than we’d hoped. Highly recommend.

We used Long Island Power Solutions to design and install a 22 panel 9.3kW rooftop solar system on our home in late 2024. The initial site evaluation was borderline, due to one 100+ year old oak tree in our yard which we refused to cut down or trim to improve our solar output. Our consultant, David Kowalsky, worked repeatedly with us and his engineers to find a solution that could provide sufficient return to justify the project given this tree. We were presented with multiple design options and configurations with accompanying forecast performance results, and we made our choice. We were pleased that in its first full year of production our system slightly exceeded its forecast output, proving out the skills of the design and engineering teams. I can't understate the monthly pleasure at seeing a big fat zero on our electricity bill for monthly usage.

Throughout the process Power Solutions worked closely with us, regarding such things as placement of exterior and interior equipment. The result was an installation with minimal exterior change and convenient internal placement and access. Power Solutions also handled the extensive planning and permitting paperwork with our municipality and with ConEd. Their communication throughout was excellent. I recommend David Kowalsky and Power Solutions without reservation for this kind of work.
