I chose New York State Solar because of the salesman, Shake. My first impression of him was excellent. I asked him a lot of detailed questions, and he answered every single one with patience and clarity. His professionalism really stood out. We also chose New York State Solar to conserve electricity and take full advantage of the benefits of solar energy.
We went through two full rounds of questions—first with me, and then with my husband. Shake handled both conversations with the same calm, knowledgeable demeanor. No matter how detailed or technical the questions were, his attitude never changed, and he remained confident and composed throughout.
The first crew that came to work on the roof was very effective. There was a small issue, but as soon as I informed Shake, it was resolved the very next day. Cleanup was handled efficiently, especially considering there was snow in the backyard. There was a small amount of debris left, but overall everything was done in a very professional manner. We had no complaints from the neighbors, aside from the normal construction noise you’d expect from any project.
The solar installation crew was outstanding. They were extremely efficient, quiet, and fast. Everything was cleaned up by 2 p.m., and they were gone before we even realized it.
I would definitely recommend New York State Solar to my family and neighbors. Overall, we are very satisfied—and to top it off, there was no out-of-pocket cost for the roof. Thank you, New York State Solar.

From the very beginning, Sharif made the process incredibly easy to understand. He broke everything down step by step, from reviewing our energy usage, explaining system design, incentives, and to setting clear expectations for installation and timelines. Nothing ever felt confusing or overwhelming because Sharif always took the time to explain things in a simple, straightforward way.
What truly sets Sharif apart is his availability and follow through. He always answers the phone, responds quickly, and consistently follows up to make sure everything is going smoothly and that we’re completely comfortable with each stage of the process. It was clear that he genuinely cared about making sure we got the best possible deal and the right system for our home, not just making a sale.
The company itself was just as impressive. Everything was well organized, professional, and transparent from start to finish. The installation crew was punctual, respectful, and highly skilled. My overall experience was excellent with the company.

We had our old roof removed and cleared away. And we had a new roof installed that was done expertly.

I think it's the overall good idea to have as many panels as can be fitted onto the roof for generating energy that we might need in the future.

But my overall experience with the sales representative Tahir sheikh is what he was very professional and very helpful along the entire process.

I would recommend this company to anyone who's interested in acquiring solar panels. I think they're done a very professional, very efficient job.

Why did I choose New York State solar? The options that were presented and the cost for the for the new system along with the advantage of having the new roof installed was a big plus for me
How was the roof work? The guys that came to do the roof did an excellent job. They did both the roof on the house as well as my detached garage and they they did fantastic. They were very clean and they also did a great job with removing the old slate that I had on my garage in the process
How was the solar work? The solar work was excellent. The crew came in did a very clean professional job putting everything up there and and it looks great. It was very neat and and the installation on the side of the equipment on the side of the house looks excellent
