Squirrels had chewed up few wires which led to short circuiting four panels. It was December 2025 and they were super busy with new installations due to the expected expiry of solar panel subsidy. However, they promptly came, identified issue, then as soon as possible they replaced four of our panels and put new Critter guard. I would have given them five stars (even 6 stars) for their work. However, they needed to call our monitoring company Solaredge and put their name on as the contractors who took care of current and will with future work. This would have allowed them to put four new panels on the Solaredge monitoring company’s grid. But despite several calls, text messages, and emails they haven’t done so for more than a month. Service manager Robert Mascher from Freehold, NJ was supposed to do that. Because if this the new four panels do not show electricity generation on my Solaredge App. I don’t know how much or if any electricity is generated by the new panel. It is very frustrating. I even tried to contact David Nukula, business manager who was very prompt before the work, but he hasn’t replied back.
Devon C was extremely professional and polite. Got the job done and let me know every step of the way what he was doing and asked if I had any questions when he was finished I would highly recommend this technician.
We had a ground fault error code on our system, and after several attempts to reach our original installer, we called Solar Medix. They were kind, professional, and very communicative both through phone/email before our appointment and in-person when resolving our issue. I will definitely use them in the future for my solar maintenance needs.
My SunPower installed system started giving strange behavior 20 months after install. Some days no production, some days good production, some days no production until midday. Very odd. Assumed it was an issue with panels, microinverters or wiring. Joey came and spent about 45 minutes diagnosing (visually inspecting panels on the roof, checking connections in basement, etc.) and told me problem seemed to be the my utility (PSEG NJ) was pushing too high a voltage into the house, which caused the microinverters to go off line. PSEG has been in to make some changes and things seem to be much better. Highly recommend Solar Medix based on my experience.
UPDATE 12 /14 /2023ALL our 3 SOLAR SYSTEMS were finally restored after a bit of some rough road along the way..i have a multi tiered & very complicated array because Nj CEP is as rigid as a concrete piling & allows no gray area at all.service visit email scheduled for 12/11. Showed up on time. both days .put a full crew of 4 on it the 2nd day & finally blew it out after waiting for a labor and weather window..I'm a guy that is very solar pv literate & it still was a bit of an ordeal getting all concerned going in the same direction either because of communication or lack of understanding the game plan clearly.i STRONGLY suggest that if you have a complicated repair, you initiate communication & continue to follow up every other week for progress. . .here is the finished product which reduced the silliness of my added on system by system convoluted system plumbing about 75 % from it state before the vehicle impact .in any case.. my systems are back on grid generating & earning..and seem normal compared to where they were accident prior..hoping it stays that way!thanks
