I couldn't be more pleased with my experience working with Solar States. The contracting process was smooth, the cost structure and timeline was clear, and communication was prompt and professional. Lina was a pleasure to work with and proactively kept me informed and taken care of from project initiation through solar installation, and all permitting and utility applications were taken care of on my behalf. They were extremely prompt to come investigate a roof leak issue I was having after installation (which ended up having nothing to do with the solar), and the hourly rate for that visit was very reasonable. I have no doubt that if I have any issues down the road, they will be responsive and helpful even though the project is complete. I would happily recommend this company to anyone considering going solar in Philly.
I have had my solar panels for about 2 years now and I am super pleased with the results. Yes, I was concern about the cost, but once I made the commitment I never looked back. I save money each month on my electric bill, plus I know I am doing something positive for the environment. Helping me all along the way with my many question was David(Dave)Scholnick who is on the Solar Team. I know if even now I had a question or concern I could call him. If you even think you might want to go Solar, give them a call.
Solar States did a great job installing our new solar system this year (2025). They finished the job quickly and kept us abreast of the process throughout. The energy savings since installation have been excellent!!
Solar States has been amazing to work with. Especially Dave S.We had an issue with the L&I department in Philadelphia for a retaining wall that was not really our problem to deal with. Solar States tracked down all of the appropriate people and went above and beyond to keep us informed and updated with new information as it came in. All in all, they are exactly as they said in the sales pitch, they take care of all the paperwork and the permitting so that we can just pay the bill at the end.
