We had a fantastic experience with Phoenix Valley Solar. They clearly explained all our options, helped us understand pricing, and made the entire process simple and stress-free. Their customer service was exceptional from start to finish, and everything was handled professionally and on time.Zak was especially great to work with — knowledgeable, responsive, and highly recommended. If you’re considering solar for your home, this is the team to trust. 10/10.
I’d like to share my experience searching for the right solar solution and why I strongly recommend working with Zach as your solar consultant.I’m originally from Nebraska, and this is my first year living in Phoenix. To say it’s been hot would be an understatement. On top of that, my electric bills were climbing toward $6,000 a year. My wife and I both work from home, and with a family of five in a 3,600 sq. ft. home in South Tempe, even after sealing the house, adding solar shades, upgrading insulation, and keeping the thermostat at 76, our August bill was nearly $900 because of SRP’s peak-time rates. We decided to invest about $40,000 to $45,000 cash into a solar system as a way to hedge against these costs and earn a solid return. But once I began my search, I quickly realized how overwhelming and inconsistent the solar industry can be. I requested quotes from SRP’s preferred providers, sifted through countless Facebook ads and pitches, and tried to teach myself everything from panels and inverters to combiner boxes and usage modeling. The quotes I received were all over the place, and the sales tactics often left me feeling unsure of who to trust. That’s where Zach stood out. Through this entire journey, he was the one constant source of honesty, clarity, and guidance. He took the time to educate me, answer my questions, and review the different options I had on the table. Unlike many in the industry who are incentivized to maximize margins per kilowatt, Zach’s focus was always on what was right for me and my family. If you’re navigating solar and want someone in your corner who will be straightforward, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to your best interest, I cannot recommend Zach enough. He made the process understandable and gave me the confidence that I was making the right decision. This is my personal letter of recommendation for Zach. If you’re considering solar, please take the time to work with him. You will be glad you did.
I leased my system from Valley Wide Electric/NRG solar back in 2012. Now my inverter is going bad and shutting down when the temp hits 85 degrees. Spruce Power bought my lease contract and they refuse to send a tech out to check the system and fix it. Being deperate I called Zak at Phx Valley Solar and even though I'm not a customer, he spent the time on the phone with me discussing my issue, the symptoms and my options. Zak didn't try and sell me anything as cost for his help and time. He did refer me to a local solar tech if I wanted to get the inverter checked out so I could have a tech report to try and force Spruce Power (don't use them) to fix THEIR equipment as the lease requires.ZAK is the best and I can't thank him enough for being willing to listen to me and to help me. If I ever need to replace my system I will most definately call Zak!Matthew Caswell, SMSgt, USAF (Retired)
I cannot tell you how much red tape gets in the way of getting solar installed on a house. Me and my cousin were total newbies, and I didn’t realize there were big government regulations, HOA nuances (or should I say, nuisances), considerations for where the panels should go, etc.Zak was not just a doer with my family member’s installation. He was a partner. He helped me and my cousin (god bless him, kinda dumb) through every step of the process. He read right through the red tape expertly. If you want both solar and high quality service, Zak is your man.
I highly recommend Zak and Phoenix Valley Solar. Zak was the 4th sales contact I made when shopping for a solar installation. He was by far the most knowledgeable and the most detailed, and he paired me with Solar Topps for the installation which was also a very good experience. Zak stayed involved throughout the planning, permitting, installation, and inspection. He was completely invested in my experience as a customer through every step of the process.I am highly satisfied with Zak, Phoenix Valley Solar, and Solar Topps.
