Customer feedback is mixed, with an overall rating indicating many satisfied clients alongside notable concerns. Positive reviews mention knowledgeable crews, neat workmanship, and clear answers to on-site questions. Critical reviews cite communication gaps, unclear pricing, issues during installation, and post-installation follow-up. Several comments focus on expectations around roof attachments and project scheduling.
Shoty work. Product looks like crap. Installer was not trained. Admitted so himself. Lied to me about having to change the install date due to equipment being late do to government shut. The supplies were delivered the day before the first install date. Contract was to include lights on the ridgeline of the roof. “We don’t put lights up there.”, per installer. Very unprofessional encounter. I’d rather put up and take down lights every year instead of looking at these ugly things.
I met with there sales rep who seemed very knowledgeable. Sat with my wife and I for over 2 hours. My first question before we even started was how do the panels attach to the roof. I had just put a new metal roof on my home about 3 months prior and did not want any holes drilled into the roof. I was assured that no holes would be drilled and that the installers use clamps that attach to the seams of my metal roof. Well that was not true. The installer used what looks like self tapping sheet metal screws to attach the panel brackets to my roof. When I told the installer that the sales man assured me that no holes would be put in my roof, he told me that the sales people dont know what they are talking about and leave it up to them to determine that on site. I have this in a text message. When I told the sales man what had happened he told me that he made a big mistake and was under the impression that we did not drill into metal roofs. I was assured someone would be in touch and make right. It has been a week and a half and no one has reached out. I have tried calling the 800 number and still no one is willing to reach out to discuss this matter. I held off from this review but at this point I feel like im just being ignored in hopes I go away. I now have a roof that is less than 8 months old with dozens of holes in it and no warranty from my roofer. But im sure ambia got their money and im stuck holding a loan for panels I didn't want drilled into my new roof in the first place. Follow up to owners respose- your installers where late leaving me to help unload the equipment delivery. And never talked to me about anything other than moving the appointment up a day. I did address concerns with them about other issues. But why would I ask a question that I was already given a definitive answer to. I would not have proceeded in the process if being how are the panels attached was my very first question. If your sales people are not qualified to answer those questions they should have told me an installer would reach out and not have answered my question. I asked i was given a clear decisive answer. Didn't think I had to verify the answer with every person that was involved considering my question was answered and jokingly said why would we put holes in a new roof that's crazy. Your response is deflecting blame and you know it.
The total price was not clearly explained. The communication was severely lacking. The installation process was nerve racking and terrible - including the installation team damaging my property. Post installation support is non-existent. Their third-party affiliate (Carbon Solutions Group) has tried to get me to falsify legal documents. I do not regret going solar - but I sincerely regret ever allowing this company on my property.
I had 18 solar panels installed on my back roof by the 'Texas Traveling Crew' of Ambia. They did a great job. With years of experience between them, I would highly recommend them for any solar panel install. They worked well together, were extremely knowledgeable, neat & professional. They took the time to answer all my questions. Thanks guys!
I would like to thank Samuel Schoepf From Ambia Energy for his relentless service and expertise in assisting my family with getting us set up with my solar. Samuel made the process as simple as possible and was able to give me a great deal for my current situation. He is truly an asset to your corporation and to his customers. I would truly recommend Samuel to any customer that would be looking for Solar and a great customer experience.
