The Black Hills Solar crew did a wonderful job of installing my EV charging cord. Their workmanship was top notch, and when I asked about the possibility of converting an existing outlet to 20 amp they found an efficient way to add another outlet instead. They put it exactly where I needed it, and with minimal added expense. I could not be happier with the outcome of my project!
I highly recommend Black Hills Solar. Sonny is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond with our installation. He installed a 6.3 kW system with battery storage for us last year. We absolutely love the system! Since the installation he continues to make sure everything is still working well, and has been happy to answer my many questions about all the components of our system and the solar industry in general.Update: August 2023 - We decided to add some west facing panels to our system. Black Hills Solar still has the same great service that they did 4 years ago. Sonny continues to be very responsive to questions, and after the new installation he found an issue with our inverter that he was able to correct very quickly. Rory and Cody are very knowledgeable as well and did a great job on the installation.
We built a barndominum in the Black Hills that is remote and needed to be off-grid. We looked at two suppliers for solar energy and went with Sonny at BHS. Sonny was pleasant to work with during the bid and design. He is straight forward and honest and is very competent and knowledgeable. He came when he said he would and installed our system and our Starlink internet. He has been extremely responsive when working through any bugs and coordinating with the backup generator provider. His pricing is fair and we are happy with the Tesla system he installed. We will be building a house as well and anticipate working with him again. I would highly recommend him to anyone. We have a hall bathroom that was a black hole. Black Hills Solar installed a solar light. It is amazing. The work and service is excellent. Very professional. They back their work with a five year warranty.
Sonny is the best! He set up our entire system (we are off grid) over 2 1/2 years ago. Whenever we have questions or problems (very rarely!), he always responds as if he is still trying to obtain our business - unlike many who set you up with something and then forget you exist! We love the set up itself and the continuing very high level of customer service.
