Reviews often cite knowledgeable consultations, non-pushy sales approaches, and systems performing as expected once completed. Several customers note helpful walkthroughs of monitoring apps and clear answers to questions. Some feedback mentions longer-than-expected installation timelines tied to permitting or scheduling. There is at least one concern about service visit charges related to manufacturer warranty parts.
Be wary of this company. If you need warranty work for a failed part they charge $350. This is not how the system was described when buying the system. I used them them when I had them remove and reinstall my system when I had my roof redone which I paid without question because it was not the fault of the system. When I had an enphase inverter fail after only 3 years on a system even though I have a 25 year warranty with enphase and a 10 year warranty with ies I am expected to pay 350 for them to replace it even though I was told I had a complete warranty when purchasing.
Compared with other solar companies that I dealt with, I found IES to be interested in having my business and found them to be knowledgeable and professional. I now have an Enphase battery - solar system that works as IES said it would. It took longer to install than I had expected. I don't know if that was due to supply chain issues, delays in getting permits and other government sluggishness, or problems with IES internal scheduling, probably all of the above. I still have a minor problem with a load control panel, but overall I am quite happy with my system and with IES.
IES has been apart of our lives since we built our house. They did the wiring and our alarms system. We have been monitored by them since and our monthly cost has remained very reasonable. We contacted them to do our solar system and it has been nothing but the best experience. I would highly recommend them for yours.
After over a year of getting bids and interviewing companies, I settled with IES because of their long-standing reputation and non-pushy sales tactics. They gave us information and gave us time to weigh our decision. We did not choose financing. Installation went smoothly with good communication. We have had the system for over a year and the energy production is about what they predicted, saving us on our electric bill. I feel good about the initial savings data and really love that I am less dependent on the gird. #GREENer. The app is easy to use but you must have reliable wifi for the data to retrieved from the system.
I decided last year to install solar panels. I decided on IES and they did a fantastic job from beginning to end. I am glad I selected them. James Diaz, followed through on making the process a simple one. I had a lot of questions, and he answered them all. James did the final inspection and then explained the app and how to utilize it to insure everything is functioning properly. I am very satisfied so far.
