All the staff (from Sales, Installers to Management) have been consistently responsive in their communication & follow ups with e-mails, returning calls & sending a Tech onsite after remotely trouble shooting an issue.
Longhorn came by for us after we found out the solar panels on our new residence were not generating any power. The technician to help us was Adam and his service was fantastic! This is our first time having Solar and he was ready to answer any questions we had, thoroughly. He ensured that we are aware of all the online resources available for us and that we know who/how to contact if there’s ever a problem. We were lucky to have him helping us resolve the issue!
Longhorn Solar installed our panels a decade ago. They've since been through rain, hail, snow, and they continue to run well! Longhorn Solar service has been great, and I don't just mean the initial install. They've been responsive and helpful for all questions and minor issues that have come up over the years.
Had a couple issues with my panels after the bad storms the past two weeks.Service scheduled quickly and Adam came out and fixed me up quickly! Great guy, great service and explained everything about what happened and how he fixed it!These guys are the best!
Longhorn has competitive pricing, and a long track history (not brand new or fly-by-night). Most importantly, every issue that we've had (which inevitably occur) has been resolved. Over the past seven years we've had an inverter go out, and most recently a Tesla battery, and it's all been covered under warranty. There is always some delay between outage and resolution, but everything I've read says that this is common/normal with solar installation support from every company. Longhorn can't replace broken parts until they get the replacement parts, and those take time to arrive; and then it has to be scheduled for installation. There's no such thing as instant fixes from anyone when it comes to solar. A big plus is that every tech that has come out for any issue, as well as the tech I normally deal with via email (Luke), has been knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to explain things well. (And, no, I don't get any kickback/discount/whatever for positive feedback. I'm just... rather impressed!)(Aug 29, 2025 follow-up) There was a glitch in communication between the Tesla gateway and the rest of the system (solar panels and Tesla batteries). Longhorn had someone out the next week to get it fixed, and it's working perfectly now. Thanks!
