My husband and I dug in our heels FOREVER, when it came to getting solar. There were all kinds of salespeople who came to our home on a monthly basis, and we just never had a real peace about being able to trust what we were being " sold" or told.My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!!That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership.Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar compa-nies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN.It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have pur-chased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Be-dard is your man! and Ambrose is your company.Every employee has been amazing and helpful. In a world where customer service has taken a dump, this company has remained a class act.So again...if you are considering solar, call Ambrose, and tell them Albert and Rhonda sent you.
We recently had a solar system installed at our home in Walnut Creek by Ambrose. We researched the top three-rated solar providers in the area and chose Ambrose, even though they were slightly more expensive. From the first meeting with Paul Karst to the final quality check meeting, we have been extremely happy with the Ambrose team, their work, the equipment, and the outcome. Everything was as promised, and the ongoing focus on our satisfaction continues well beyond the sale. Their focus on every detail was what impressed me most.
We had an outstanding experience with Ambrose Solar in Vacaville, CA and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We purchased and installed 37 solar panels and two Tesla batteries, and the entire process—from design to installation—was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Our sales associate, Jon Landsman, truly went above and beyond. He took the time to educate us, answer every question, and helped design the exact system we wanted rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. The pricing was very competitive, the financing options were excellent, and the installation team was efficient, courteous, and highly professional. You can tell this company really cares about both quality and customer experience. What has impressed us most is the follow-through. Even a year after installation, Ambrose Solar has continued to check in with us to make sure our system is performing as expected and operating optimally. If you’re looking for a solar company that is knowledgeable, honest, professional, and truly service-oriented, I highly recommend Ambrose Solar.
Our experience working with Ambrose had nothing but great. We have enough roadblocks in our install from permitting to design but Ambrose team was diligent, persistent and highly communicative. The messaging service that Ambrose uses has kept us apprised of all the updates.Even post install- Ambrose has been answering our questions about usage in detail and are fully supportive. I recommend Ambrose to anyone looking for a midsize solar company to do the work for you.
WOW what a great experience! We talked to SunRun, Save a Lot and Semper Solaris and ended up going with Ambrose based on Knowledge of salesman, Price, Experience in the industry, Reputation, Product choices, Reviews and affiliation with local lenders.Tory, our salesman at Ambrose was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and offered many options, never tried to push us in any direction. He was quick getting back to us when we had questions. The install took two days and that team was on time, clean and more than willing to answer questions during the install. The engineering team was also quick but PG&E was slow at the initial permit and also the final PTO (permission to operate) so overall the whole process did take about 5 months. We financed our system through Star Bank although Ambrose does have financial partners like Travis CU we managed to get a better rate. Our system is just over 10kw with (2) 13.5kw batteries so we've been 100% self reliant even with summer AC and our electric car which is a FANTASTIC feeling. We highly recommend Ambrose! With the 30% federal tax incentive ending this year (2025) we were told that you'll really need to purchase before the end of July. There is a referral incentive too so give them my name. If you like I'd be happy to answer any questions. Our first PG&E bill was $7.66 with a credit of $23.99 (not including gas) which will be given back to us as either a credit towards gas or a check at the annual true upanniversary next June. At our 30 day follow up appt yesterday our rep told us it should be well over $1000!There's also a follow up appt at 1 year and I think 2 year as well.Remember to give them my name, Mark Wittekind and I hope this lengthy review has been helpful!Good Luck
