I began working with this company in April 2024. Having had solar power before in another state, I wanted to support a local company.

I paid a sizeable deposit in June 2024; in August 2024, I was told by the Solar Mason franchise owner that "scheduling is pushing everything back," noting that it was "completely our fault. . .that the wrong address was used to draft the initial plans."

In October 2024, after being told that the project would be delayed many months, I was asked to pay for the entire project and store the equipment in my garage. I declined to do so. I have heard nothing from the company since November 2024 despite numerous attempts to contact the franchise owner and the office.

This company uses Artificial Intelligence to answer calls which was a nightmare. As I requested a quote a few times, it hung up on me. Most likely believes I'm saying something negative. I asked to talk to a person and all they can provide is to me to go onto their website to provide my details for a call back. This makes me uncomfortable providing details on a website. AI is a wonderful tool, but it hurts when it's used as an answering service. Guess I will go elsewhere.

Remember to only pay a fraction of the material costs as a down payment. Took my money and barely did anything and now won't answer us back. Avoid this business.

As a nonprofit and environmental organization, we had a great experience with Solar Mason! They were professional, responsive and knowledgeable. We would recommend them for both residential and commercial solar!
