My inlaws chose to make the move to solar and they were unsure about making the move. They made an appointment and sat down with someone and they cleared up any and all worries they had. The sales person was very helpful and really knew his stuff so it made the choice very easy for them. So far everything they were told has held true they look forward to their continued saving! Totally recommend that if you're looking to switch to make an appointment with TruPower.
Our system was done through TruPower and we chose to go with sunpower panels. The install took a little less than 6 weeks. The crew of installers were happy to be there and very clean. Since the install our bills have been less than $5 a month. They also did my friend who said its saving her money also.
They were the best at first. When the owner came out to talk to me about the system it was great, very attentive and answered questions I had. After we agreed to purchase the system everything nose dived straight into the dumpster. The only people that truly impressed me through out this entire ordeal was the roofers. 4 hours took off the old on, installed a new one, and were very clean and thorough. Unfortunately thats all of the good things I can say about this experience. After the system was FINALLY installed, I walked the yard and found hardware, (i.e. brackets, screws, lag bots), and trash in my yard. When they finally got around to taking out my one tree, I talked to the guy who was going to do it. I said hey give me a heads up before coming because I have a dog and talked about leaving the wood for me, and also grinding the stump. A week later they apparently got a different guy to do it, no heads up, they took all the wood, left tracks across my yard and driveway, and left the stump. Communication was virtually impossible, they didn't return phone calls, didn't keep me informed as to what was going on or when. I got a call at 11am on a Tuesday asking if I was home because they were there to install part of the system and I never received any advanced notification. I missed three inspections because they never told me they were happening. Whenever I called and actually got some one, I got told "...I'm not making excuses..." and then I'd get handed a bunch of excuses. The whole time I was pretty polite and understanding. I kept telling them that even though I was losing patience, all they had to do was follow through on what they said and keep me in the loop. They did neither. Numerous conversations about how I was going to be "taken care of" and they were "going to make things right," they only followed up on the stump. The one conversation I had I was told 'You know, it could be worse." Yes, it could be worse, but it could also be a whole lot better. I would have gladly paid more to deal with any one else.TLDR: They dont return phone calls, follow through on agreements, act in a timely manner, act in good faith, or understand the basic concepts of customer service.
We absolutely are very satisfied with TruPower Energy! From the Salesman, Bob Doran to the installers and everyone involved in this project. We have been treated with exquisite service from the time we signed up to the completed job......Everything that was scheduled from the paperwork to start the installation to the finished job has been right on time.....every time!. We will recommend this TruPower Energy company to all our family friends. With all this being said.... I thought I would not ever want these solar panels on my roof but the finishing touch is absolutely beautiful and I'm saving lots of money!!!
