Updating 18 months after installation.
Chaning my review to 1 star from 5 star. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY - DO NOT BUY FROM ASTRAWATT - NO SERVICE WARRANTY. I was happy with my installation, but about 14 months later, I had a micro inverter go out. No big deal I thought, enphase was quick to send a new one, but Astrawatt went through some business restructuing and now for service calls you have to pay upfront. Ok I thought, how do I get reimbursed? 2 months, 8 calls, and multiple email attempts later, NO ONE will tell me how to get reimbursed. The local service office said Corporate appears to have dropped all their existing customers. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASTRAWATT SOLAR.

My original revew......I would strongly recommend this company for your solar project. As an engineer, I was very detail focused through the planning and installation process. The team at Astrawatt did not disappoint on any step. I am on the northern fringe of their current territory so my local utility hadn’t heard of them. When they came out to do the inspection and saw how professionally the installation was done, he said “Who are these guys? This looks amazing”. Great job Astrawatt team!!

Astrowatt installed the incorrect microinverters on our home. They installed the cheaper, less efficient inverters when we paid for the more expensive inverters. My spouse brought this to Astrowatts attention months ago and Astrowatt has yet to correct their mistake and had ghosted us, not returning calls or emails. I recommend families considering getting solar to go with a different company. I want to caution current Astrowatt customers, educate yourself on your systems so you can verify that you have received what you paid for.
I understand that there has been management changes, but that is not a valid excuse to not communicate with your customers. Highly disappointed and would not recommend Astrowatt to my worst enemy.

Find A Different Installer. See below.

I cannot in good faith recommend Astrawatt Solar. At first, everything seemed fine. Come to find out, my inspection was never closed out, the wrong microinverters were installed (which I was not informed of until I tried to get the inspection closed out), etc.

During this time, I had paid them a 25% deposit on an add-on system. This deposit was paid in July of 2025. It is now towards the end of Oct 2025 and I have yet to receive a refund after weeks of asking.

To top it all off, the majority of Astrawatt leadership is on my emails and I have yet to receive a single response from anyone.

Took 4 months to install. No show or late on city building inspections. Project manager would not return any calls. Hard to speak to anybody at the office as their phone directory doesn't work properly. Overall just poor.

I waited to complete this review until after the system was installed and connected, the rebate was processed and we had several months of generation to evaluate. It is now more than 5 months since installation and we are extremely happy with the system's performance and AstraWatt.

Our 10Kw system generates far in excess of our home electricity consumption with plenty of capacity to electrify water heater, furnace and add EV charger at a later stage. Even in January our electricity bill was $0.

The sales process with AstraWatt is very efficient (and paperless) with clear and transparent explanations from Bryan and a quick site assessment. Bryan also guided us through the financing process which was painless.

As we were the first home in our neighborhood to install solar there was a longer process of approval with the HOA in University Hills but AstraWatt were highly professional in communicating which was greatly appreciated by the Trustees. Megan at AstraWatt also coordinated with Ameren and UCity for the permitting and inspection.

The installation crew were friendly and professional. We did have a minor roof leak caused by a stray screw but the AstraWatt team came back to resolve the issue. Similarly with an issue with the Current Transformer.

The quality of the equipment installed by AstraWatt is high by industry standards which was important for us to ensure a long system life.

Even after installation was complete the AstraWatt team were highly responsive to provide the necessary documentation for the federal tax rebate.

All in all we would highly recommend them after comparing with other solar installers in the St Louis area.

Frequently Asked Questions

They operate from Olivette and handle projects across the greater St. Louis metro. Service availability can depend on site conditions and local permitting.

Projects usually start with a roof and shading assessment, followed by system design and permitting. Installation is scheduled after approvals, with utility interconnection and monitoring set up near the end.

Timeframes vary by permitting, inspection schedules, and utility processing. Some reviewers noted delays, so confirm expected milestones and communication plans in writing.

Many residential systems use panel-level microinverters and online monitoring. Ask for a written bill of materials that lists panel model, inverter type, and monitoring platform.

They provide guidance on common programs and interconnection steps. Confirm which forms they handle and which items the homeowner must submit.
