Recent reviews show mixed experiences. Several customers praise individual technicians’ knowledge and responsiveness, including remote monitoring help. Others report challenges with communication, delayed scheduling, and slow warranty follow-through, especially for inverter or panel issues. Overall feedback highlights variability in responsiveness and service timelines.
I like to thank Rob for the excellent customer service provided, he worked on 2 EcoFlow solar installations on my son’s homes. First one is perfect. But 2nd one has intermittent issues that requires immediate diagnosis when it happens, this is where Rob shows his excellent commitment to customer services. I called and text him after hours, during weekends and he always responded right away and be able to monitor the system remotely and worked with us on diagnostics, without him, it will be very difficult to figure out due to it’s a new and smart system that requires technical knowledge to understand what the system alerts are.Rob has excellent knowledge and always provided logical explanations on what to look for next.I would give a 5 stars review, but I felt the office did not take into account that how much time required to complete a installation, and took on too many orders at the end of last year. Even the service from Rob is excellent but the installations on both houses need multiple visits that spanned more than a week, the sales, planning and scheduling has rooms to improve, so the back office get a 3 stars and averaged out as 4 stars. There are other team members I met are nice that needs to be recognized including Terry and Josh. The new system with smart panel and inverter require in depth knowledge from the installer which I suggest the company to plan for more training times for the other staffs as well. Overall it is a good experience and thank you.
I bought solar from westcoast solar in 2022. Recently my inverter went bad in September 2025. I contacted them in November and they said they would handle it. Heard nothing from them for about a month which my pge bill is going up because of no solar and I try to contact tuem and you speak to someone. The phone operator you speak to isn't even in the country from the heavy accent I assume. All emails we have sent have been returned to sender. Either this company is severely mismanaged or they scam people.
I purchased a solar system from West Coast Solar in Brentwood CA. I have a solar panel that is under warranty and West Coast Solar has refused to honor the warranty contract I have with them to fix/replace the panels and will not respond back to multiple service requests and have now said to have my attorney contact them.I would never recommend doing any business with West Coast Solar based on the poor customer service I have experienced and lack of professional service from management and owner/CEO.*** response to owner response to my review... I have tried several times to try and get the service visit accomplished. West Coast Solar has refused to respond to my numerous request via email and phone calls to try and rectify the issues. West Coast Solar has not responded to my warranty request. There is a material disagreement in the 25 year warranty where as West Coast Solar is trying to change the terms of the original contract and forcing me to sign and agree to these changes in order to receive the repair under the warranty. This I feel is unfair and should revert back to the language of the contract. This is where West Coast Solar is bullying me as their customer and refusing to hold a discussion and has refused to talk with me unless I have an attorney contact their legal counsel to honor the warranty. If the only disagreement is in a service fee, then, lets set the appointment up to fix the malfunctioning panel(s) and we can come to an agreement. Stop playing games and trying to state otherwise. Again, the childish behavior of leaving a customer in the wind and ignoring their service request is a reality of my personal experience with them as well as other negative customer reviews I have seen on the google reviews. This seems to be the only response that I have gotten back from West Coast Solar after being told to get an attorney to contact them.*** update #2 *** Finally had an opportunity to meet with Aaron Bryant, CEO of West Coast Solar. We had the opportunity to sit down and come to an understanding of getting my malfunctioning solar panel(s) addressed under warranty.I want to thank Aaron for meeting with me and us finding a common ground to work from to address outstanding issues.I look forward to having the panel issue resolved in the near future with the expected customer service that I initially had at time of sale which was excellent.+++ update #3 +++ West Coast Solar came through and swapped out my malfunctioning solar panel under warranty. I wish it would of been an easier process. At the end of the day, Aaron Bryant, the CEO of WCS, followed through on his promise and things are working right now. I wish WCS the best and hope things change for the future when a customer reaches out for service. I want this business to do well and support the community we live and work in. If the WCS customer service team can respond back in timely manner and be clear in their communications, I feel they will do well. Hopefully both sides learned from this experience and that a conversation with a customer is a good thing to understand where they are coming from.
3 of the last 4 years, (this year is the 3rd) I have had an issue with something with our solar. Each of those issues, were poorly followed up with any sort of response from WCS customer service/team. I have had to resort to sending frustrated emails to the Tamayo family (owners) members in order for a rep to reply to me. Every time. WCS' customer service is that bad. This latest issue they denied accountability in their communication. The attached photo shows them sending a text to an incorrect number (in their defense, they said it's my old number - true, old. But ever since the 1st issue 4 years ago, this was supposedly updated by their rep). The message didn't go through. It clearly says, MESSAGE NOT SENT. Yet, they said "you confirmed this appointment per our phone conversation". Something that was never made.WCS' customer service is horrible. Please train or get rid of those with the CSR title because clearly they don't know what they're doing. If you're going to use automation with your services, please learn how to use them properly.Do better. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with y'all until I pay this system off.I hope I don't have to send another service request next year. Who knows? I may go 4/5.
The technician who finally arrived at my house five weeks after I contacted West Coast Solar, did a great job replacing the inverter. The level of service from West Coast Solar as a company has a lot of room for improvement. Five weeks without Solar is not acceptable. I made many phone calls that were not returned, and I felt like I was getting the runaround. In the end, solar edge sent the inverter to West Coast Solar, who scheduled the work, then reschedule the work, then reschedule the work again! The technician was confident and professional, but it was five weeks until he showed up
