Solar w/ Battery project...Did not complete the job and they have not responded in over 2 months. They did a good job of installing the solar panels however they were late. Original contract was signed in October 2024 and expected to be done by the end of December 2024. The panels were installed in August of 2025. However, they never connected the system, Tesla power walls, etc... stated that people were coming out in September and October but never did. I'm not sure if they are still in business actually.

Green Homes replaced my roof and installed 10.2KW of solar shingles, along with a whole home backup battery. Although the work took longer than expected, the delays were out of their control. Green Homes Roofing & Solar was hired to repair damage to my residential roof. The terms of our contract provided that upon completion and payment of services, Green Homes Roofing & Solar would provide a written Certificate of Completion. The completion and payment was in February 2024 but as of this writing (May 2025), despite several calls and emails to the company (particularly the owner/Anthony Balmeceda) requesting said certificate, I have yet to get a response nor compliance with our contract. Unfortunately, my only recourse would be to file a complain with the Better Business Bureau and the Michigan department of licensing, along with a civil court claim for breach of contract. Due to this poor customer service and disregard of their contractual obligations, I cannot recommend the company for your roofing needs.

I sent a message through Green Homes' website on a Saturday morning about getting my skylights replaced. Within a few hours I got a call from Anthony. After talking to him he said someone would be over within an hour to look at the skylights and my roof. Within an hour, Winston was at my house to look over the roof and skylights. He looked around, took some pictures, told me Anthony would give me a quote on Monday. I was very impressed with how fast they acted, especially on a Saturday.

That following Monday, Anthony came to give me a quote. Everything seemed reasonably priced and I didn't feel like any options were forced on me. I like when a sales guy is not trying to upsell me the entire time and gives me options that fit in my budget.

I spent a couple days thinking about the quote and decided to get the skylights and roof done (roof was in bad condition).

About a week later a crew showed up, worked two 10 hours days. I was surprised with how quickly they got everything done. They also didn't charge me for replacing extra rotting roof panels (there was a lot) and they fixed a leaky gutter free of charge.

There were some minor issues after the install. I talked to Winston about these issues and he came out the same day or the next day to resolve them. Very good follow up service.

If I had any complaints, it would be with debris management. After the crew left the second day I had to spend maybe 30 minutes picking up trash in my yard, the street, and my neighbors yards. There was also no tarp or anything placed in my hallway below the skylights. A lot of garbage and debris landed in my hallway during the install with no one offering to clean up. That was a little annoying.

I would definitely recommend Green Homes and I'll probably use them in the future for other projects.
