TFS is the best and come highly recommended. When the cost of getting solar was less than our TEP bill I shopped around. I asked my friends with rooftop panels about their solar experience and I was repeatedly directed to TFS, Technicians For Sustainability. I decided to wander into their workspace to learn what I could about this unique worker-ownedcompany that had a terrific reputation.When I walked in I was greeted by gracious Derek working at his computer near the entrance. Behind him I saw one of my decades-old newspaper editorial cartoons about solar power on the back wall of the office. A good sign. 10,000 suns ago I drew that cartoon of a witless soul carrying an appliance and a cord with a male plug on the end of it looking for “someplace to plug this thing in” and the dear human is oblivious to the gift above, the sun, of course, rendered with an electrical outlet waiting to be tapped. TFS were reassuring, patient and good humored as they offered us clarity, affordability, an easy to navigate--with their gracious assist--guide to the step-by-step process and best of all: magic. The day TFS guided us through christening our system by turning it on was an unforgettable moment of magic as power surged into our hacienda powered by light from the nearest star. This normally stoic old bird entered a state of wonder at the scientific marvel that was finally ours. Thank you, TFS--your staff, your field crews, and everyone there-- for making our transition into the modern age a joyful experience.
TFS is simply an outstanding solar and storage battery whisperer. Their well trained staff have accomplished 5 star installs and service for my gradually expanded rooftop system since 2017. My system just works and reports well. Here’s a photo of the latest panel addition.
Great plan and working with TFS to install a second phase of solar and new battery storage. Team on sight was nice and helped answer questions. Even though one of the batteries required replacement, this too was done quickly. We love our system and would recommend TFS to anyone.

From there, TFS staff was extremely helpful in guiding us through the whole process—from financing to how to understand our system and how to make the most of our solar. It really felt like everyone was invested in good customer service, which is likely because TFS is cooperatively owned and staff have a stake in TFS’s success.
