We were very happy with our choice of San Diego County Solar. They upgraded our main electrical panel (and handled all the communications and interactions with SDG&E so we didn't have to,) installed solar panels on our roof, installed a Tesla Backup Switch, and installed a new Tesla Powerwall battery. They managed the whole project, kept us informed, scheduled all necessary inspections, and obtained Permission to Operate from SDG&E. They also did a great job of working with the roofing company we selected to install a new roof. They communicated directly with the roofer (so we didn't have to serve as a middleman in the communications,) and coordinated schedules with them to ensure the mounts for the solar panels were installed at the correct point in the roofing process. Some other aspects of the business relationship we liked: San Diego County Solar did not request final payment (50% of the total) until we had Permission To Operate from SDG&E and were satisfied that the project was thoroughly completed. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls from us during the entire project. They also sat down with us at the end of the project to walk us through all the new hardware and software we received, and gave us a nice binder full of all the warranties, manuals, and reference materials we need to manage our installation going forward. We will definitely recommend San Diego County Solar to our friends and neighbors.

After turning away countless high pressure solar sales people away over the years, I'm so glad that I was recommended to Seth and his team at San Diego County Solar through a trusted friend. I was previously in the construction industry and can attest that the San Diego County Solar team take immense pride in the quality of their work, quality of materials used and overall look of the job - never cutting corners like the rest of the installs you see. Honestly, we have the cleanest install in the neighborhood (and proud of it!). Also, Seth took plenty of time during and after the installation process to walk me through the system, answer all my questions and make sure everything was working perfectly. Thanks again Seth!

If you’re looking for the best solar company in San Diego, I highly recommend San Diego County Solar. After meeting with several installers, Seth and his team clearly stood out. They offered the best quote, included more solar panels than other companies, and provided honest, no-pressure guidance—something that’s rare in the solar industry.
We installed 16 high-efficiency solar panels, upgraded our Main Service Panel from 100A to 200A, and added a Tesla Powerwall 3 for whole-home battery backup. San Diego County Solar handled everything for us, including SDG&E approvals, permitting, site inspections, and scheduling. The entire process was smooth, fast, and stress-free.
The workmanship was top-notch. They color-matched the stucco after the panel upgrade, brought in certified roofers to check the weatherhead and roof penetration, and made sure everything passed inspection with no issues. Their communication was excellent—they kept us updated throughout the install and made sure every detail was done right.

It is not about making a buck, or churn and burn selling. They want to help the industry by offloading the grid and helping the environment. It is refreshing. Got a good amount of panels and the Tesla power wall. It is a great set up for supporting my pool equipment and changing my Audi.
