Be aware that Sky Power states on their website that: "Our current service rates are $195 per hour, with an additional truck roll fee for sites located 10 miles or more from our local office", However they quoted a minimum charge of $500 to diagnose the problem because I was a "New Customer". I said that I felt that the advertised price was misleading since it does not mention anything about a new customer price (I actually purchased my system from Sky Power in 2015- but they had been sold since then to new owners). Further I stated if it was not changed to reflect the "New Customer" pricing in a week I was going to post a negative review. I don't like to give negative reviews, so I waited 10 days, which I felt was adequate to rectify the issue with their website.So- Be forewarned that the price that Sky Power states on their website may not be the price you pay.
Excellent, knowledgeable company. They are premiere installers for several brands, so can figure out which brand yields the best cost-benefit analysis for you at the time you're buying, and hook you up with the "extra" warranty some manuf's offer for premiere installers. If you're looking to save some $$, they can recommend cheaper manufacturers and explain, in English, exactly how that should affect performance. The reps were exceedingly patient with me and responsive to my voluminous questions. They are one of the oldest solar companies in the Bay Area so have a long track record of good performance. They initially recommended I not get a system, given how frugal my electricity use is (honest!). I got one when I got a plug-in car. Installation was on time and a breeze. Every step was explained to me, and took my input on where wiring should go. System operation was explained to me. As I'm writing this, I've had system for about 1 month - Sky Power support is still fantastic.Highly recommend.
I had several bids for my PV Solar project. I went with Bob Winn and Sky Power Solar and was not disappointed. Very professional throughout. I particularly trusted their long term (> decade) committed experience in the field; stating why certain options and panel choices were better for my particular situation. Their team of installers started ahead of schedule and completed the work on time and as stated. They kept the site clean and were very respectful of us and our property. Truly nice guys; hard workers. Power generation is awesome and on target. Online monitoring works flawlessly.
I am very happy so far! Everything went well with the installation. I had compared two companies and went with sky power, which I felt had a better price, solar panel product and overall package of warranties. I used the zero interest loan for 12 mo. (for the amount that I will get back in tax credit) which made the initial invest seem more manageable.
Sky Power Solar was very professional. They answered all our questions and provided plenty of documentation before and after installation. They installed on the scheduled day and finished by the end of that day. Except for a few communication issues, everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend them.
