Flawless experience from estimate to completion. We installed a Franklin 15W, and enlisted Earth Smart to upgrade additional electrical components on our house. It is rare to work with any company who does not jerk you around, and this company delivers exactly what it promises.
When you choose a solar provider, you’re typically choosing two companies: the one you sign the contract with and the local installer who actually makes it all happen. (Some companies do both, but that isn't always the case.) We worked with a semi-national solar sales company on the front end, and when it came time to put boots on the roof and wires in the walls, we were paired with Earth Smart Solar out of Rocky Hill (but with other offices elsewhere). Let me tell you--we couldn’t have been happier with how it went.From the very beginning, the folks at Earth Smart Solar kept things running smoothly. Permitting, inspections, and all the infamous Eversource paperwork hurdles were handled without us having to chase anything down. Scheduling was clear and communication was great. When installation day finally came, the crew showed up right on time, introduced themselves, and immediately got to work. It was clear they’d done this dozens (hundreds?) of times before--the process was organized, efficient, and actually kind of fun to watch.They wrapped up our install almost completely on the first day with just a few last bits to finish on the next, and by the time they left, the system looked fantastic. I’m particular about the little things--conduit runs, panel placement, neatness--and Earth Smart nailed every detail. Even our town inspector commented to me afterward how clean and professional the work was.What stood out most to me, though, was how personable everyone was. Jay and the other folks at Earth Smart took the time to explain what they were doing and answer my questions. They treated our home like their own, cleaned up every scrap, and left me with total confidence that the system was built to last. And since solar systems are all app-driven these days, they gave me a good walkthrough of how to use them, making sure I was up and running on them without issue.At the end of the day, you can have a great sales experience and a great price, but if the local installer isn’t top-notch, you’re going to regret it. Thankfully, Earth Smart Solar delivered the whole way through--skilled, friendly, and meticulous.Would I recommend them? Absolutely. If you’re lucky enough to have Earth Smart Solar as the team putting panels on your roof, you can rest easy knowing your project is in excellent hands.
Earth Smart installed a 'whole house' system (solar arrays to produce enough for all our energy needs & a back-up Franklin battery) in May 2025 and we've been producing electricity since just a couple weeks afterward (awaited inspections). I waited a bit to write this review and after several months I could not be happier! Randy and the installation crew were excellent thru-out the entire process - absolutely flawless and without drama! Everyone was very professional, here when they said they would be, easy to talk to (they were always happy to explain anything as they worked), and clearly knew what they were doing. James & Tom (electricians) made the new equipment look nice on the side of the house & in the basement and were great to work with, often explaining and sharing what they were doing. Same for the panel installers Tanner, Tucker, and Danny. I must add a special thank you to Randy, who from the very beginning of my solar interest and contact with Earth Smart has been so amazing. He is calm, patient, very responsive to any/all questions and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the system, CT & local rules/code, and financing. I highly recommend Earth Smart Solar. We have been remodeling our house and I can't recall working with a better contractor or having a smoother experience.
My recent experience with Earth Smart Solar was very positive from start to finish. Randy was very clear and patient, explaining the solar process and expectations. He walked me through the project lifecycle and components from roofing company and eversource. The installation process was seamless!! The roof installers were fast and skilled. The solar installers were efficient and professional! don’t think it could have been easier. Thank you for a great experience Earth Smart Solar!!
