Matt Sexton, arranged my solar installation in late 2022, which made me eligible for NEM 2 P.G.E. metering. Because of extreme weather conditions in late spring of 2023, the installation was not completed until early summer 2023. The work was completed in a professional and expeditious manner. I have not received an electric bill since. I would rate installing solar as one of my best investments.

Fantastic work by Matt and his crew. They were quick and efficient during the install of my solar system. Couldn’t be happier!!!

I wanted to share my experience but for some reason my review keeps getting taken down. Matt came over to my parents house to give them a proposal for solar few months back. When Matt showed up he came with another guy he introduced as the installer. My parents are elderly and old school. My dad felt like the whole thing was shady considering we come from a family of contractors, so I put on my investigating pants and I went to work and I found out that Matt with Solar by Sexton has no contractors license. He only has an HIS register to another company called, Western Valley Development. They have a general B license and do not specialize in solar nor electric. if anyone comes across Matt or solar by Sexton just ask them, what is your California State License that makes your company legal to operate. This company is operating illegally. I also live in Sonora and I notice his signs on the side of the road. Non of his advertisement shows his license number which is another clear indication he is not operating legitimately. it's plain and simple if you cannot find his information on the California State License board than there is no other option when it come to a legal operations.

Please consider using Solar by Sexton, and Matt Sexton for all your Solar needs.
We contracted with Matt and Solar by Sexton to do a major job for us, and we are thrilled with the results.
First, they assessed our system and needs. Then Matt had our 36 solar panels disconnected from our system, and then had the panels carefully stored so they were undamaged (as our roof was repaired).
Once the new roof was installed Matt had our solar panels reinstalled on our roof, and hooked back up. Our system works great again!
We are beyond pleased with the work done, the cost (Matt saved us a lot on the job), the communication, and the timeliness.
Please use Solar by Sexton, and do so knowing you will be professionally taken care of!

Vincenzza Bubak on Solar by Sexton LLC

When we first moved up to Valley Springs to build our final home, we were blessed with meeting Matt Sexton. We connected right away as I prefer no nonsense & direct truthful people. We spoke about the perks and advantages of Solar. I asked him many questions as I wanted to be absolutely sure he would be the “right” guy. He was patient, calm and answered everything I asked him about. I don’t remember how many panels we purchased. I did let him know I wanted no tru up bills or any bills from PG&E. He assured us we’d have no problems. We negotiated a fair win/win price for both of us. The day they installed it, they were here at 8:00 am and were finished by 12:30. We have not had any problems 6 years later. Oh and NO tru up bills to date. ???????? Matt is a stand up guy. He’s honest, has integrity & we formed a wonderful friendship. I’ve referred him to several neighbors who also have nothing but great things to say about him. You can put your trust in this fine young man and know he speaks from the heart and is there if you have any questions in the future. Matt gets an A+ rating from me! Thank you and God Bless you and your business Matt.
