Amit (owner of Arise Solar) took our money ($4200) and we still have no solar working. After 10 months we are giving up and having to call a different company and losing our money to this idiot. He was all gung ho and a wonderful customer service person in the beginning having us put our faith in him. We purchased a home that had solar panels already installed but they very old and not working. We knew nothing about solar as we did not have it on our previous house. When we called him (because of his 5-star rating) he assured us he would have us up and running and with very low cost energy bills in the summer. HAH! What a joke. He had someone replace the panels/inverters and watched our bill for the first moth. It was $52. (it was also February and we weren't even moved into the house yet). In March it started to go up and we kept calling Amit. He didn't respond. We kept calling every week throughout April and May (our bill kept increasing). When we would finally get him on the phone, he would have us send him our bill so he could see it. Finally in July he started sending someone to find out what was wrong. He would never come over himself although in the beginning he was always there...... until he got our money. So from what his folks said, the wiring appears to be faulty. He wiped his hands clean and said he was not responsible for the old wiring. He said he would need to put new wiring in and once the wiring is in, if it still isn't working then its his responsibility. So for the past few weeks we have been waiting for him to give us an estimate of how much the wiring is going to cost. We keep calling him and talking to him on the phone and he keeps assuring us he will get back to us in a few days and never does. We are so done with this man and now find ourselves having to spend money all over again with a new company. And the worst thing is, we think that's what he wanted us to do. No other owner of a company would let a customer ride for 10 months. He is a very nice man on the phone and very reassuring to us but once he hangs up he totally disses us. And we think that's because he got his money upfront and wanted nothing further to do with us afterward. This is an honest review from a couple who just retired and purchased our retirement home. And in any of the work that we've had done where we need to call in contractors, we always look at the google reviews. I'm not sure how Arise Solar has such high reviews unless Amit has a way of getting rid of the bad ones. We'll see if my review stays. In any case (at least for us) he is/was a sweet talker and and just took our money with no result. It's a shame. Maybe this review will save someone else from what we went through.
From a value standpoint, Arise Solar was great. Low installation and panel cost compared to other companies we looked at, and they also handled all the communication/paperwork needed for getting set up with the appropriate grants and connections to the utility provider (which is Delmarva for us). However, there were a couple of issues that I hope the company learns from:1) the solar panels we were quoted to get on the contract were not the ones that were installed. The company did make it right by refunding us the difference in the cost between the panel types but it should have been communicated that we were not going to get the panels that were stated in the contract.2) the installation team did great, professional and cleaned up after themselves. However, they were at our place well into the evening for a couple of days. It is of our opinion that the installation should be limited to a set timeframe for the days they will be doing the installation and resume the work the next day if it cannot be completed during the established timeframe.I also cannot stress enough how much of a better value this company was compared to others we got quotes from. Would still recommend, the above two issues notwithstanding. 4/5
just like the solar energy, this company is total positive energy. absolutely worry free to get the project done. service, support, follow up and workmanship is commendable. won't say too much more to let the five star speak for itself. i am absolutely happy with Arise Solar.
Arise Solar team was very professional - from the first instance of getting a quote through installation and support. I had previous solar system, and hence the extension included extended engineering and working with utility provider accordingly. I recommend Arise Solar.
The best, got my project done in 1 day. Very diligent and sincere, assisted me with all the process seamlessly and effortless. They are simply awesome to work with.Kudos Arise Solar, great work with y'all.
