The process was as expected until the site visits. The first site visit was schedule by SunSolar. The appointment was for 1/12 from 07:00 am - 12:00 pm. The appointment is for "...taking measurements and photos of the roof and the main service panel." I changed my schedule to be home so they could get everything they needed. They arrived; I opened gate and told them to let me know if they needed anything else. They never checked in again and left without speaking with me. My cameras all around the house can confirm the sudden departure without any conversation. My assumption was the job was complete.They later contacted me on 1/13 that they needed to come back out for photos of roof and garage. I still don't know why that wasn't done at original appointment. They picked 1/14 07:00am - 12:00 pm to come out for "...taking measurements and photos of the roof and the main service panel.", I said they can do the roof as I would leave gate open and dog inside, but no one would be home for garage access. They came out and rang the ring camera multiple times trying to get access to garage, interrupting my wife at work. I spoke with my project lead later, who said the employee told them we were not home due to an emergency. I corrected them, saying we told them we would not be home prior to the appointment.We tried again, scheduling the following day, so more of my time being wasted to correct what should have been done the first day. I said I would be home after 9:00 am and would be available until 3:00 pm for appointment. Guess who shows up ringing my door at 8:50. The lack of communication and respect to the consumer/customer is not acceptable, so I told the employee at the house to disregard, I am canceling withing the 10 days. I then notified my project manager, receiving a confirmation message.I also contacted the finance company, who promises a 24-hour return on messages. Four days later and they have not responded. I have since received messages from multiple individuals to confirm "details." I imagine it is more of a sales pitch, but the company has already wasted more of my time than I wanted. I can only speak on initial costumer experience but would not recommend.
Had a great experience getting my Tesla battery installed and connected. From sales to the supervision of the process and keeping me informed every step of the way. I had nothing to worry about through the whole seamless process.
Working with SunSolar has been a pleasure. I got the powerwall 3 installed. No problems at all. Kelly my SunSolar representative keeps you informed about the process with texts if that is your preferred method of communication. If you got any questions contacting them isn’t an issue. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.
Terrible customer service. Instead of scheduling an appointment, they give you an appointment and their service people do not show up. My ceiling has been leaking when it rains for a few month now. Every time it rains it gets worse. They sent some one out to install bird netting and fix the problem on the roof. He came out installed the bird netting unsatisfactory like. The birds get under the netting now and the roof still leaks. This damage is over a custom staircase. Maybe now Sun solar will take us seriously about the problems we have been having with our panels since year 2. They worked great the first year. Problems for the last 2 years. Finally got 1 new inverter replaced after years of complaining about the decline in production. Buyer beware.
