Staff has always been helpful. Capitol's Kodiak windows are awesome. The triple pane casement windows keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
They did a great job building the windows for my shop getting them to the exact dimensions which helped with the install. Thanks Zac and your Crew!
Easy to work with. Above and beyond nice and professional. They will continue to get my business.
I brought a window from my “remote” cabin for replacement last Wednesday, Sep 4. The counter person who received it said it would possibly be ready for pickup on Friday the 6th, but for sure the following Monday. It wasn’t ready on Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday, Sep 11th , three days late, I was notified it was ready for pick up. When we got there we found that the repair had been done incorrectly. The new pane had not been properly sealed, was loose in the frame and sliding around. They took it back and said to come back on the 12th.Did I mention that it’s a remote cabin? That means 40 miles from the nearest road. The only way to get there is to fly, and it has been sitting without a window for a week. When I picked it up today I talked with the shop manager and asked for a refund of part of the labor due to late delivery. His response was, We fixed it, we delivered it and my counter person had two days off so it was her fault.” End of story. He’s a guy who doesn’t shoulder much responsibility, not for improper repair, not for late delivery. Nice he has his counter person to blame. If it weren’t for the fact that the other three windows we brought for repair this summer went well, this would be a one star rating.Capitol Glass, the idea that you have no obligation to meet your stated delivery dates is absurd. To blame your faulty repair and tardiness on the counter person is even more so.
I have spent $100 dollars on a piece of of plexi glass for my RV, I spent $3500 on my home windows and skylight. With both experiences, I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. From Melissa at the front counter to the guys in the shop, everybody was extremely knowledgeable about their products. They were patient with me when I had to reschedule. They also back their warranties. Even when I tried to "adjust" one of their windows myself. Over all, I couldn't be happier with this company. As long as their doors are open, I won't go anywhere else.
