I waited almost a year to write this review in order to give a longer term view. I couldn’t be happier. Getting 20 custom windows for a 1910 house was a big project but the team made it incredibly easy (and I was a fairly picky customer).

Quoting and scheduling was great - I was looking at a few different bids and had some unexpected travel but John was easy to communicate with and was very willing to get into the weeds and answer all of my questions. I really appreciated his flexibility and translation of some of the technical terms without skimping on the details or being condescending (rarer than it should be for this woman homeowner). He also was very helpful in talking through several design options to preserve the front window details. There were a few open questions, so Mason did the final walkthrough and technical determinations. He was also a wealth of knowledge and provided pros and cons with expertise but no judgement.

Also shout out to Carrie who was a scheduling maestro, I really appreciated her excellent communication and being able to do all the paperwork virtually.

The installation was great, I was working from home and the crew were not only efficient and did great work but were kind enough to ask of their own accord how they could adjust their plan to minimize noise disruption and allow me to move pets between rooms on a break.

The installation was expertly done with attention to detail, including in caulking, sealing, and even the cleanup! The house is mostly lathe and plaster so I was expecting at least a few problems but no! This crew was incredibly experienced and didn’t even damage my hydrangeas. And just in case someone misunderstands a photo I included - I asked for the outdoor window framing to be left unpainted they definitely offered. The hydrangeas were less pleased as I definitely squished them when painting.

I’ve had my new windows through a summer and several months of winter and they have cut my energy bill by at least a third. No settling in issues or product problems (I do appreciate that they are local and guarantee all their work and the windows just in case). All the initial support in making the great choices for the house balanced by a reasonable budget plus a perfect installation - I can’t recommend them highly enough.

PS: They weren’t even pushy about asking me to post a review. I’m sure it helps drive their business, so I appreciated the restraint of one low-pressure ask at the close of the job via text. Hopefully this one was as worth the wait!

We got all our home windows replaced by EnergyGuard and have been so happy with both the process and the results. John came to our home for the first consultation meeting and was super kind, helpful, and informative. Carrie at the office was responsive and great at communicating updates, and Mason who led the installation process was professional and did a wonderful job. On top of all that, they were able to do the installation a little earlier than they had projected and were much more affordable than another popular option we looked into. Great folks to work with and quality product/installation, I highly recommend them!

EnergyGuard installed over 20 windows in our home, and we couldn’t be happier! They were responsive, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. The new windows not only look great but have already made a big difference in our home’s energy efficiency. Everything was done on time and exactly as promised. John was great to work with from the beginning, hearing what we wanted to accomplish and Carrie was great too. We were installing siding at the same time and they helped us coordinate timing and process with the other contractor. Highly recommend them to anyone considering window replacement!

From beginning to end of our 16 window, 2 door journey, Energy Guard was amazing. Talking with John felt like talking to my neighbor, and you could tell he cared about our home as much as his own. Not pushy, not trying to get us to buy the highest price stuff. Just honest and so helpful when we changed and added on over and over again. Carrie was responsive, and so thankfully patient with our quickly changing schedules. And the on site crew was SO FAST while still being mindful of our property and the safety of our cats. My only regret is that I don't have more homes for them to work on. Thank you so much for everything.

This job started with a visit by a great, greatly experienced salesman Darrin Mankin. He talked me through the window replacement and had good recommendations!
The job: I had 5 windows and a sliding door replaced on my 2003 house. Two of the windows were actually "three windows"; an arched window on top of two lower windows and one of these was a 2nd story window (required scaffolding).
EnergyGuard pulled in with two trucks and four men at 9AM and left at 3pm. They cleaned up as they were doing the removals and again when done with the job. Two worked the front of the house and two worked the back of the house.
Results were AMAZING! The upstairs bedroom and the downstairs den look like a new home! The two arched windows had a blind on them and for 17 years we never did anything behind the blind. Ugh, when the blind came off prior to window replacement the caulking was old and shrunken and cracked and the edge of the window casing had large cracks and was terrible. The new windows look so good we did not reinstall the arched blind and instead enjoy seeing the sky out this window which also has a "SunCoatMAX" application that keeps the sun from heating up the house.
Before leaving the lead man took me around and checked out the sliding door (made a few minor adjustments) and showed me some of the window features.
