I excitedly came to the showroom looking for a new front door but didn’t even want to talk to a professional because the sales associate at the front Annya was so incredibly rude right from the get go. She talked down to me, seemed annoyed I was even there, attitude from her tone of voice to body posture, sighing as she got up from her chair. I walked in and right back out. Sad that this happened because I was looking forward to visiting the showroom after reading all the positive reviews.
I walked in with a twenty year old Velux remote that was not operating . Sat down with Jeff Van Horne a miracle man who resolved the problem. This is twenty years after I purchased the skylight! Remember to shop local Truitt and White the very best.
My 1923 craftsman bungalow needed ALL (22) new windows, but I was worried that I would lose the authentic historic charm of the windows added, particularly the windows in a 5 sided bay window. I went in CLUELESS and was lucky enough to encounter Greg who was sooo helpful and very soothing to work with. No high pressure sales tactics, he just really listened to all my concerns and priorities and helped me choose the best windows for my house. Once I had all the details (coatings, screens, type of window etc) picked up, they provided me the names of 2 contractors to get bids from and additionally I had bids from 2 other contractors. The Truitt & White recommended contractor bids were much more complete and professionally done than the other bids and I ended up going with Troy Wilson/Wilson Construction (who were great, see my review of them) and Troy and Greg worked together to finalize the order - exact measurements, last minute changes based on recommendations from Troy. I went with Marvin Premium windows and they are worth every penny - my house still has ALL the historic charm, but better! The whole process was smooth from start to finish. There is a LONG (6+ mos) lead time for the windows + install appointment, but its worth it to wait for the right windows and the right installer. The house is way quieter, warmer and less smelly (no more smoke seeps in) than it was. Thank you Greg for helping me have the best experience!
