Customer feedback is mixed. Positive reviews often note neat workmanship, courteous installers, and successful inspections. Critical reviews cite communication gaps, scheduling delays, and slow resolution of post-installation issues such as damaged panes. Several comments mention that sales interactions were helpful, but follow-up after contracting could be improved.
My family had a door and 3 windows installed by this company December of 2024. We have encountered issue after issue with this company. The biggest issue we had was after they installed the windows, one had a scratch on it. They couldn’t resolve the scratch and told us they would replace the window. They said they would get with us that it would take 8-12 weeks to get the replacement window. 12 weeks later, no phone calls, no window, no answers when we call them. Hours and hours of time on the phone with them, no dates, no window still, and no phone calls back. We had to resort calling every week and didn’t get the replacement window in until December the following year (2025). This year, we went to write off the windows in the taxes and the tax preparer needed a “QMID” number from the window manufacturer for energy ratings. They referred to the window company they use “ES Windows” and that company says that they don’t have a QMID number. That means that these windows are not energy star rated and not approved by the federal government as energy efficient windows. We used this company as part of the my safer Florida grant and they knew this, and used windows that aren’t energy efficient as required by the government. If you use this company, I can assure you they will not communicate with you, will not follow through on promises, and will not provide you with windows with a “QMID” number that certifies the windows as energy efficient. You are being warned. Call another company.
Delays delays delays. Post signing the contract their team is a nightmare to communicate with. A ton of false promises on installation dates. Ended up getting installed several months late and into hurricane season which thankfully wasn't a problem.Would not use this company. Sales guy and Project managerwere great tho.
Impeccable installation by a courteous and professional crew. Outstanding customer service and excellent communication from beginning to end. The impact windows and doors are a great product and have made my house feel more secure and stylish. I highly recommend them.
I had an awesome experience with this company. The installation was very neat and clean , I love my new sliding glass doors. They look amazing. The sales rep Austin was very professional and knowledgeable . He was available throughout the process to address any and all concerns. They rebuilt, all framing with wood bucks, sheet rock, drywall, stucco. The inspection was successful on the first try. I previously had half of my house done by another company, which was a disaster. I finished the job with Armored Impact and this company was exceptional. I couldn’t have asked for a better job. Thanks again and I highly recommend this company ????.
Two words: STAY AWAY. There are a huge number of reputable window installers out there, and I thought I had done my fair share of research. I ended up going with Armored Impact because the sales associate was someone known to a colleague, and that made me feel more comfortable with my decision. I’ll give two stars for the timely installation and delivery of my windows. But that’s where the nightmare began. I had my windows installed in Jan of 2023. After install (Oct of 2023) one of the windows began to leak a large amount of water into my bedroom from beneath the window from a sprinkler hitting the window. They claimed it was due to the repeated exposure to treated water that caused the leak…. Which is kind of insane considering it’s supposed to hold up to hurricane force weather conditions. Regardless, their sales contract says they will repair at THEIR COST any damage caused by faulty installation within a year. I even had a third party come to my home to remediate the MOLD that grew from the water intrusion, and that company confirmed the water was entering from the window because Armored Impact was adamant the window was not installed incorrectly. It was a BATTLE to get Armored Impact to honor their contractual obligation to warranty installation. It took months of badgering and constant phone calls and texts to have the window repaired. And wouldn’t you know, once the window was fully removed and reinstalled it has not leaked at all since, further proving the window was poorly installed the first time.As of today (June of 2024), they have still not completed the repair job. I have no windowsill, and large areas of exposed drywall in my home that will cost me around $2000 to have repaired. It took MONTHS for them to replace my carpet, and they basically went not contact after that was completed. I have repeatedly tried to call both the point of contact from the company that was handling the repairs as well as their sales department, leaving messages etc etc. I got through one day after calling their sales number, the person promised me they’d call back and never did. Now, they see my number on caller ID and ignore it. Now, I will be forced to take legal action due to this breach of contract. The windows were a huge expense that has continued to spiral out because this company failed to fix their mistake, and are choosing to ignore it rather than do the right thing.I regret selecting this company to do my windows, and I urge you to look elsewhere. As other reviews have mentioned, their customer service is horrible and if you end up with an issue like I did, expect to be ignored and left to deal with the issue on your own, despite their contractual obligations to repair property damaged as a result of poor installation. I don’t normally write reviews, but I hope this helps deter others from falling victim to a similar situation with Armored Impact and look elsewhere for their windows.
