I just had 10 windows replaced in my home by Gilkey. I love their windows. They make the original windows look wimpy. Every one of Gilkey's windows is custom made for your home. These windows are solid and thicker than original windows and they operate very smoothly. They look great too. Another thing I really like is that Gilkey hires their own installers. They do not contract out installation. I love this because if you have any problem at all, Gilkey will handle it for you. My installers, Marcin and Ziggy brought my windows this morning, arrived on time, and were very friendly. Marcin showed me the windows' special features and showed me how to use them. They did a great job both inside and outside and cleaned up afterward. They even used caulking that exactly matched my siding outside, as I had requested. I highly recommend Gilkey for replacement windows, especially if you want a window that is made here in the USA from start to finish, and look great!
I understand that no project is without its flaws; however, the true measure of a company lies in how it addresses these challenges. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues, including a gouged kitchen floor, a ruined rug due to a spill, and damage to a vinyl window, along with unfilled nail holes and leftover foam overspray. Despite my efforts to communicate these concerns via email, there was no plan proposed for repairs or replacements following the installation. I provided details regarding the costs of the damaged rug and the tiles needed for the gouged area, yet no action was taken, and no repair date was ever scheduled. My correspondence spanned from October 14 to November 10, during which time there was no commitment to reimburse us for the damages or rectify the window issues. It seems that once payment is made, customer care diminishes significantly.
Excellent service from sales in my home to in-store visit and education with very informative staff to installation today. Everyone was professional and delivered and installed 7 windows including a big picture window which came out beautifully! The install guys, Marcin and Ziggy were great and did an excellent job in every phase of the project. I couldn’t be happier.
