Customer feedback is mixed. Many reviews note helpful sales consultations and smooth ordering when communication is consistent. Critical comments cite scheduling issues, slow follow-up after initial visits, and concerns about warranty transfer policies for subsequent homeowners. Experiences with punctuality and responsiveness appear to vary by project.
Company sent a salesman to my house on replacing a window. He provided a price for the work and we signed an agreement. I paid the amount required under that agreement. I waiting for the second stage of the process which is where someone comes out to measure the window. I never heard from anyone. I checked and realized that my check never cleared the bank. I called the company to inquire and they initially acted as though they couldn't find the order. They then told me that they found the order but I needed to contact my salesman about the issue. I followed up with the salesman several days later. He informed me that the owner canceled my order because he didn't believe I would be happy with the results. This was well after the 3 day period for rescinding a contract/agreement. It is bizarre that an owner would arbitrarily cancel my contract. It is also weird that the staff answering calls was unwilling to tell me what was going on with my order. I'm not only dissatisfied with the experience. I'm offended that they would treat a paying customer this way. I'm going to complain to the parent company because this experience reflects poorly on Window World nationwide (even if the locations are independently owned). Be aware.
This company has been nothing but great from the beginning. Barry came to my home and was so knowledgeable. I had no clue what questions to ask or what I was exactly looking for. I just knew the older builder grade windows was so bad. Barry had me signed up and later looking through all options I wanted to see if I could change to triple pane. Barry called in and called me right back and said I called just in time. Came to my home and I resigned. Now windows installed. I had to call about one not closing right (user error ??) no questions asked just sent a person here and he fixed it. Just called again because I have a window cracked and again nothing but great customer service thus far! I always tell people about window world and how much new windows has changed my home and my bills. My AES is literally half of what it was.
There is NO peace of mind from this company….TERRIBLE customer service! And a worthless warranty. The “guarantee” is a joke. Our windows are less than 1 year old. We purchased the house three months ago. Because we didn’t go in to the office and pay for the “guarantee” to be transferred (which is something you should know) within 30 days of closing then they don’t warranty defective windows. Not to mention the quality of the product and install is shotty. The caulk is cracking and uneven. The windows don’t close properly. If you want a cheap product with a misleading warranty this company is for you. Otherwise, don’t waste your money.
Zero stars!! Sales Rep was a NO SHOW! He called about 10 mins before the appt and said his car wouldn’t start and he was waiting on someone to come help him. I called him back an hour later and said we weren’t waiting any longer. He said okay. He did not even ask me to reschedule. Moving on to another company.
Window World Dayton was unable to do about half the work we needed done and tried to pressure us to get done what they wanted to do. From top to bottom, our experience with them was that their customer service is non-existent. Condescending and rude is the nicest that can be said, both about their person that came out to quote and office staff. They must not need business since they clearly don't care about getting customers.
