They seem like a good company, but their sales rep Michael Mckelvey is a weird guy. During his sales presentation he kept talking about how he wants to go camping with me and share a tent when the job is complete. I myself do not swing that way, and that’s fine that he does, but this felt like an inappropriate thing to say in a business meeting.
We went with Norden windows as I had seen their windows in another home, and loved them. I loved the look of the windows that they had given me, however dealing with them was a nightmare. From the first meeting I told them that we were doing windows and vinyl, so therefore needed to be treated as a new development. There were delays in my windows being installed of which they didn't inform me about. I kept calling and got no answer from a sales person. Eventually they stopped answering my calls. I had vinyl guys set up of which I had to put on hold with no time line. When windows were installed, they did all 13 windows (1 was a big bay window) AND 2 french doors in 1 day!! I was shocked as to how quick they were. Well, when the vinyl guys started (who were also a window company) they informed me that the new windows were the wrong ones. They had installed replacement windows NOT windows for a new build. I called them, and the sales person said it was because I had chosen that kind out of the "quote" he had given me.I asked for the owner to come, and he agreed that they wrong, but nothing ever got done. On top of that, the installation guys left spray foam over my walls, windows, frames and carpet, of which 5 years later, I still have not be able to get off. They also broke glass on pictures. When I look at my windows now, there are gaps around the frame, I can feel air coming in and my bay window makes a noise, like a bird has flown into it. We have realized that it is because it had "settled" and doesn't fit in properly. This is why they were to be New build not replacement windows. The owner told me that they would give me a discount, and or replace windows, and cover the cost of painting the walls that have got spray foam on, and replacement of carpet costs of which he never got back to me again once I sent him the quote.I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
Do NOT use this company! Had my entire house renovated and went with this company to replace all windows. Left them a key to work over the weekend as we were away and asked to lock the premise once completed as other trades were in the house. Upon completion, that night conveniently the upstairs window on the roof was left open and the stars obviously aligned, because it was the same night a burglar knew which exact window to come in and ransack all the trades tools and over $10,000 worth of our belongings being stored in the garage. ABSOLUTE INSIDE JOB!!
Norden Windows supplied all our windows for our newly constructed home. The entire process starting from design review to installation of window screens, the Norden team was great to deal with. This included the quick action to reorder a couple of windows that needed to be changed without impacting our build schedule. Great product, service and price. Would highly recommend.
We ordered 23 windows and sliding patio door from Norden based on all good reviews. The only good thing about Norden was their salesman Amrit, who unfortunately is no longer there. The rest is complete disappointment and frustration right after installation. Most of the windows didn't drain water, locks didn't close, weather strip peeled off on one window after 2 weeks, patio door didn't close properly and lock didn't work. Their service guy had to come a few times to fix all the issues. The quality of the plastic frames and assembly is very poor, not the same as you see in their showroom. About 6 months after installation we found a big crack on one of the frame. It took over a month of arguing over the phone in order to get them to fix it. The patio door still doesn't work properly - when it's closed it leaves a gap at the bottom that lets cold air in. I called Norden 2 weeks ago with this issue. The receptionist said somebody would call me back and nobody ever did.
