I used to have a positive impression of Goldfinch Brothers, but unfortunately, my recent experience has been disappointing. I requested a quote for either the repair or replacement of a commercial door and received neither. Instead, I was advised to walk along Hewitt Avenue and look at other doors to determine what I liked—which felt unprofessional and unhelpful.I proceeded with a $400 deposit to initiate the process. A technician came out and mentioned I would receive a quote to rebuild the pivot. Instead, I later received an unrelated quote for approximately $5,000 for a completely new door, with no breakdown or explanation. I declined the service, but only half of my deposit was refunded, and I was never provided an itemized invoice or any clear documentation of half the deposit they kept. The entire experience felt disorganized and raised concerns about transparency.

I was recommended by Dunn Lumber because Goldfinch Brothers also install and with Dunn you have to find a contractor. I made an appointment, met with someone and was supposed to receive a quote. There was no follow up, no quote sent. I met with them in July and its now August. Not good business
I recently ordered a new sliding door from Goldfinch Bros and everything was great up until delivery. When it came time to schedule the delivery of the door, I was given a two hour time window and told that someone would need to be available to help as the delivery driver travels alone. To me, it’s slightly frustrating to pay a $150 delivery fee to have an expensive and heavy item be left in the front yard being sprayed by the neighbors sprinkler. After e-mailing every e-mail address I could find at Goldfinch Bros and telling them this, I received zero in response. Great customer service! I thought it would be nice to support a local company, but next time it’s likely back to the big box store.
