Critical reviews cite delayed scheduling, difficulty reaching the office, and slow follow-up on punch-list items. Communication speed and timeline clarity are recurring themes.
I’m conflicted about how to rate this company. I worked with them before for a roof replacement several years ago and had a fantastic experience, so I decided to hire them again to replace my windows. Unfortunately, this time, my experience was very different.I placed my window order at the end of October 2025 and paid the deposit shortly after. Figuring the windows needed to be ordered, I expected to hear back in approximately two weeks to schedule installation. However, by Thanksgiving, I had heard nothing and called for an update. Ms. Peggy took my call and assured me someone would follow up, but no one ever did. I called again, and while Peggy tried to get an update on the schedule, all I was told was that someone would call me back—once again, no one did. After I called yet again for an update, the conversation led me to believe there was an issue with either the manufacturer or my order, but I still received no concrete information on a resolution.I called again after Christmas and finally spoke to Tyler, who explained that we needed to remeasure the windows again before they could be picked up. Apparently, once the windows were picked up from the manufacturer, they couldn’t be returned. I arranged for a time to be home from work, but no one showed up. When I called at the end of the day, I learned that Tyler had accidentally scheduled my appointment for the wrong month. Mistakes happen, and they rescheduled. This time, the representative arrived and took measurements.Another week passed without any follow-up, so I called again. We finally agreed on an installation date—MLK Day. I specifically asked if they were open since it was a holiday, and they confirmed they would be. However, when the day arrived, a representative came to measure again, not to install, because the warehouse was closed. They rescheduled for the following day, and this time Edmundo and his crew arrived. It was VERY cold, but the crew did a phenomenal job. They were quick, professional, and incredibly friendly. The installation wasn’t fully completed that day, so they came back as promised the next day to finish. I can’t say enough good things about Edmundo and his team—they were exceptional! If my experience were just based on the installation team, it would be 5 stars, hands down.Unfortunately, the administrative side of this company was a nightmare. After the installation, I called to make my final payment. Peggy confirmed the amount, which was slightly less than I’d anticipated, and I paid it. However, about a week later, I noticed another charge on a different card—the one I’d used to pay the deposit. This double charge is still unresolved, and I’m waiting on a refund.Overall, while the installation crew was amazing, the poor communication, scheduling mistakes, and administrative errors made the process unnecessarily frustrating and also resulted in 4 days required to be out of the office. I’d recommend the installation team without hesitation, but the administrative side of this company REALLY needs improvement.
In July they did our roof and fix water damage and a hole in the ceiling(we had someone else coming to fix it but were told to cancel that they would handle it). Since July I have been hunting them down to correct deficiencies and inspect behind their workers. Long story short after I made many and I mean MANY calls trying to get a hold of them they sent someone to check and they made a letter stating nothing is wrong… if you value quality and communication save yourself the headache and find someone else. They get one star because its the lowest permitted…Pictures of water damage before repair and after it barely got touched up.Picture of the hole, it did get covered but paint job quality is not “professional”
I absolutely hate to leave a bad review for companies but I’d absolutely hate for someone else to go through this.I contacted this company to fix broken Siding, roof and interior of my 3rd garage. I paid half of the money on 5/21/2025. I called the front desk to ask when they’d come they said due to rain they weren’t sure. I understood….called the second week same reasoning. I understood, 3rd week…same reasoning. 4th week ….i called they again had an excuse and tell me Tyler will call me, i end up telling my husband to call and ask for a refund so we can hire someone else. They tell my husband someone will come Wednesday, and Thursday. Wednesday the roofing crew shows up …they fix the roof, fine. Thursday comes, no one shows up for the siding! I call the front desk lady tell me someone will call me back. No one calls me back. Friday i get a call from Tyler that they’ll be here Monday …Monday comes no one shows up. I call they say “they were going to try to fit you in Saturday if they couldn’t they’d come Monday but they’ll be there tomorrow” that same Monday a lady and man shows up to fix the inside of my 3rd garage….they patch broken structure …I tell the crew that it doesn’t look right they show me text messages that give ZERO instructions other than “small patch work at *my address* the crew end up cutting out all work they did to actually fix my issue …the next day siding shows up. I walk out they have cut up siding i ask hey aren’t you supposed to fix all siding corner to corner PER MY INSURANCE and our contract ? They say “boss said only fix broken siding) I call David who’s the project manager he calls them to fix the siding … cool i am happy work is finally done i am done dealing with this company…NOPE the next day my AC stops cooling, i call an hvac guy he says my refrigerant is low,he fills it up with 3lbs ..it cools. Few days later my house is hot again! I call a different company because obviously i have a leak that needs to be found ASAP, i have kids my house is 90* the company does a pressure test and other things and determine they punctured my copper lines. I call David he takes fault says he will send his guy out,I tell him after all that’s gone around I’d rather use a company i trust, he asks me what they quoted me,i tell him he says absolutely not it’s way too expensive his guy has to do it. his guy says yea there’s a nail in there cool i can fix it.. The hvac guy was kind, understood and did the work today (later than i expected but whatever another hurtle) this is all to say that i would never recommend this company to anyone. I don’t believe any of the work was done per our contract because none of their crew had the instructions from my insurance and NONE of them knew the line items, i mean we couldn’t even communicate for the most part due to a language barrier.….Please save your money, your time and you a headache.
We have had only good experiences with them. Great company! Roof, bathrooms and now our home addition. David, Harold, Federico and the crew are great. They are busy, so communication sometimes was slow but they always responded. Inspection department was the hasle, they work slow and have all these rules.Very happy with everything.
It’s been 2 months since the folks at M&D Construction replaced 17 windows and 2 doors at my home. We were very pleased with the experience. The house is quieter, warmer and cooler, with a lower electric bill, and has withstood torrential rain and wind with no leaks. Also, it looks great.Starting the project, I received 5 other estimates for window companies and other contractors, and found that they were very non-specific about what products they would install. They also told me it would take at least 4 weeks to get the windows. Who would buy something without knowing what it was and exactly what it looked like? The other companies couldn’t tell me a brand or point me to an online data sheet for R values. The other companies were also, at a minimum, THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS HIGHER than M&D Construction (the highest company was 6k over).Nice.M&D was ready in 2 weeks, but willing to wait for me to get things straightened up and move things around. We have animals and I asked that the staff be mindful of that while working. They were.M&D completed the job in 2 days (including cleanup).Needless to say, but M&D has become my go-to for construction and any home improvement projects.Ruben and his team have my full confidence.
