I got contacted by Skyler, he did a great job breaking down what the company does, and how the process works. I was intrigued and in need of gutters, so I set up an appointment. Ronnie showed up and did a great job, made it easy setting up and scheduling with them. Ive only heard good about Key exteriors from people around me. Would recommend these guys.
We had the roof of our house redone by Key Exteriors in 2020 and got a new front door in 2025. Now, we're about to get new siding by them. We're happy with the results, but there's one thing I want to warn prospective customers about. When we made our appointment for a consultation on siding, the scheduler on the phone said we could get a quote that was good for the year. I thought that meant for the next 365 days, but it turned out they meant the calendar year. Y'all, we had our consultation on Dec. 30! That's right, we thought the quote was good for 365 days, but it was really only good for 2 days. If we had known that, we would have gone into the meeting much more prepared to make a quicker decision. Shout out to our sales consultant Curtis who gave me his personal cell and accepted my call on Dec. 31, a day he was supposed to have off, so we were able to lock in the 2025 price. He also gave a great presentation on the science behind the siding and spent hours with us going over options and costs.
BUYERS BEWARE! KEEP LOOKING, unless you want to over pay for subcontracted work, terrible communication/ customer service. My house was finished the 2nd of September and I'm already having issues with siding falling. Now, Key Exteriors will probably push the blame to the guys that did the work, but when I reach out to the contractor who did the job, HE actually responds to me. Now I'm sure they will come on here and say they're really busy, but if thats the case.... how are you supposed to honor that transferable lifetime warranty. Hopefully this helps a lot of people avoid the mistake I made using Key. The sales guys that came out to the house were really nice and knowledgeable of their product, but neglected to mention they subcontract work. If they would have mentioned this, I would have told them thank you for your time and sent them on their way. For those who dont know, when a job is subcontracted, typically, the person who got the original job (Key Exteriors in this case) will sub out the job for a lower price to a different contractor group. Normally the subcontractors bid on a job allowing the main company (Key) to pick one who they think will get the job done adequately and cheapest allowing them to put more of the money into their own pocket, while you still overpay. Here's the shame on me part. I didn't read all the fine print, and I shouldn't have just let the sales people scroll over it like its no big deal. I forgot we dont live in that old school U.S. where you can trust someone at their word. So yes, I probably did miss the important part of "hey, we subcontract our jobs." Again though, I still dont have these copies, so I cant put them on here for everyone to read. I honestly cant complain about the install, the house looks beautiful, except, for muddy communication from the sales guys, to the project manager (Marquis), to the crew doing the work. There was work that supposed to get done to my front porch, (sales team said it could be done, when the crew came out there was some doubts, so we decided to postpone it) and then I was told that the replacement of a 2x12 over my garage was offsetting that cost of the front porch getting done. So, I wouldn't receive a deduction from the project total. We were told by the sales team that complications for wood that maybe rotted out would be factored in, then after the job was completed and this came up, is when I was informed about the offset cost. When the work was done at 8p.m. on the 2nd of September, I was asked to sign papers, so that the funds would be released to the crew that did the work and that Marquis would be out to review the project. I signed, not realizing it meant that I was satisfied with the work, and that I was agreeing that everything was completed to its requirement. So, when my wife called to discuss some concerns and issues with Marquis, he condescendingly said "I see you guys signed the contract saying everything was done." So again, shame on me for thinking that this company, who when you call their phone number, the first thing it says is thanks for calling key Exteriors your key to integrity, would honor their work and or word. Moving forward, 2 weeks after the job was done I had siding fall off the south side of my house, I reached out to the gentleman who did the work, and he came out 3 days later to fix it. About a week later I was supposed to have a meeting with the Marquis to come out and look over the house, he canceled saying he had 3 roof projects that day and that he wouldn't be able too. We had a phone call instead where, I was told the gaps I was concerned about will work themselves out by next year, and that my warranty is basically what ever it is from the siding manufacturer. Now here we are today, when my neighbor to the Southside of my house, the same side that fell already, informed me I now had another piece of siding laying on the ground. After calling about it, the subcontractor came out and put it back up, and spent extra time trying looking over the rest of the house. Theres more but not enough space on here
Like anybody I got multiple quotes, Zach showed up to my home and explained everything in detail a-z. They weren’t the cheapest but when I tell you everything was done properly I couldn’t be happier. My siding looks amazing I was in the trade for some years so I was skeptical of everybody I received a quote from especially with most these companies being in business for such a short time. I appreciated the attention to detail, communication and clean up. Great Job to Zach Key Exteriors and their team. I strongly recommend them.
Levi was exceptional!! He was very professional, efficient and explained everything in a way that was understandable. He showed us different cost effective ways to make improving our windows and doors possible. He even managed to save us some money, which was the best part. The door he helped us design is beautiful and I can’t wait until it’s installed. His customer service skills were outstanding! He made us feel like we could definitely trust Key Exteriors with beautifying our home. I would highly recommend Levi and Key Exteriors to beautify your home! Thanks Levi!
