Reviews frequently highlight courteous sales consultations, reasonable pricing discussions, and clean, efficient installation crews. Many customers mention noticeable quality in the windows and neat interior finishing. A smaller number of reviews cite concerns about siding seam placement and expectations on exterior aesthetics. Overall sentiment trends positive with praise for communication and follow-through.
Cannot recommend. Was not a good experience. Dropped a star because they are mischaracterizing my concerns. I did not object to seams in the siding. I object to there being seven on the west side of the front, which is the driveway side. (It’s not an aesthetic outcome any homeowner would want on the main entrance to their property.) Standard practice is to spread the seams out and avoid bunching them together. The longest runs on five or six of the boards with those seams I’m talking about are 11’8.” So they could’ve been sided with full length boards. I even would’ve paid extra for them if the company had told me, this is what the front of your house will look like, with seven seams on half of it. (The east side of the front, which is the same length as the west, has two seams, and I have no problem with that.) The problem could’ve been avoided by siding the entire front first, and doing it with as few seams as possible. (If the east side of the front was sided with just two seams, the west side of the front could have been done the same way.) It’s also interesting that when the project manager told me he was going over to check the completed job, he said he fully expected there would be surplus siding that I could have. But when he got there, there was none left. (I’ve still got his text messages.) Also, they say they are happy that I am otherwise satisfied with the job. No clue where they got that. I never said I was, because I am not.
Glad I chose Universal Windows. The salesman was pleasant and focused on my needs. Prices were reasonable. Windows and door quality is superb. The installers were prompt and professional. Marc dropped in a couple times, met me, and made sure I was happy with my purchases. Free, was the only way it could have gone better, i thought, and assured him. Great place to do business!
Universal windows direct did a thorough job assessing my need to install a new window in my eating area. They let me know they wanted my business and gave me a reasonable price. The window is quality and they did a beautiful job installing it. They installed it from the outside in and had to remove siding but replaced it the same day. The finishing work on the inside is excellent also. The pictures were taken before the trim was painted.
Update: We are using them again for our new home that has original windows to the house (1997). We love UW windows and would recommend to anyone we know!We recently bought our house that was built in 1910 and had almost all of the original windows. It made for chilly days not only outside but inside our home! Marc and his team came out to help replace our windows and our house looks almost brand new! We are so thankful for the time and effort these guys (Marc, Kris, and Bobby) put into our old house that needed some TLC and now my husband and I are able to enjoy the winters (and summers when the AC is on) in the comfort of our warm home thanks to Universal Windows!
I had to wait a few days to post a review, as I was overly excited and didn’t want to sound too excitedly crazy.I’m so happy with these windows!Mason, was the one to help set up the process. He answered all the questions and was super helpful with suggesting windows that would work better for certain areas. We had 16 windows installed and the team that came out did very thorough and quick work of it. Chris and Bobby were their names, very nice people, very professional. They were very understanding with my crazy dog hanging out around them being nosy.Marc Faylor was very professional and due to the global pandemic or supply chain issues we did have to move our installation date back, but it’s completely understandable and the company communicated these issues very well. These windows are AWESOME. They replaced the Pella windows that came with the house when it was built. The old windows were over 30yrs old and were a nightmare. These new windows open with ease and the screens are beautiful and hardly noticeable.I am so glad I selected this company! They even stated they would place a coil above my bay window in the future. Everything looks fresh and clean. Thank you so much Universal Windows
