Jason Oberle on ClearView Panes

UPDATE: Only Days after being asked if I could help them and ‘talk business’ with him, my review was clearly seen and I received 6 back to back missed calls and text threats including that I’m going to be ‘exploited’.

A 1 day installation with 4 installers scheduled for Jan 25th with Jason. Was told they’d be on road at 5:00 AM. 8:58 AM received a text stating they were rescheduling for tomorrow (Friday). Zero communication or confirmation that it worked for us.
Arrived 9:15 AM Friday.
Dropped off 2 installers and left to ‘quote another job’ in Austin. He arrived back at 1:45 PM to start working. Guessing our project wasn’t important.
Note: I personally put in a full day of help/labor to assist as it was clear that they weren’t going to accomplish the job in 1 day. (Zero expectations from me I just wanted the job done)

Before sunset Friday Jason stated that they’d be driving back to Dallas and come back next day to finish. (6 hours round trip and we’d already seen how time management was handled thus far). I offered housing so they get some rest and start early and finish the project.
I stated multiple times that I was leaving for the airport at 2:00 and work needed to be completed by that time. I was assured no issues. We housed, fed, and even did laundry for the crew (never expected anything in return other than to get the job done.)

Saturday AM zero work was being done which was the whole plan. Reminded them again that I was leaving at 2:00. Work finally started back up at 9:45 AM. Zero sense of urgency.
12:15 met with crew to see game plan. Zero exterior sealing had been done and multiple windows missing.
I told the crew that I needed the interior of the project done by 2:00 and they could finish exterior until whenever needed and was told there wouldn’t be an issue. I specifically said multiple times that I needed Jason to help with installations and to have all hands on deck to finish interior work so I could lock up. Instead he decided to take a trip to the hardware store for unnecessary supplies. Completely disrespected.

2:15 PM: no choice but to leave for the airport and the crew was far from being at a point that I could lock up. Zero respect to any conversation previous on what needed to be done by 2:00.

On plane I sent 80% of his final invoice and stated that I needed to put eyes on the finished product and would be in touch. He assured me that I’d be happy and looked forward to the balance.

Upon arrival back home and a quick walk through. Attached are some ‘finished product photos’. We also have videos. These are not, in our eyes, finished windows. Extensive damages to drywall, extremely messy caulk lines with zero painters tape used and not a single drop cloth used for the floors or furniture. They look horrible.

I sent photos and asked Jason to reach out to discuss the finish work and balance due. ‘Will do’ was his response and 3 days later he finally reached out. I told him that I would be happy to repair the damages or hire someone and he could deduct them from his final invoice. He lost it and started a screaming match with threats and how ‘he went above and beyond for us’ and he’s ’been installing windows for 40 years’ to where I hung up and text messaged him and said everything needed to be in writing moving forward.

He told me that they ‘don’t paint’ and he disagreed with me that the photos presented here are damages and instead it was a ‘clean installation’. He also stated that we had a contract showing this and I asked to see it because I wanted to see the terms and what was included in his installation plus his warranty terms. (Long story short they were brought on to help with exchange of damages caused by a Dallas based window manufacturer). I assumed there was an agreement or contract with the window manufacturer that I just hadn’t seen.
Zero agreement has been sent to me.

In conclusion, our time clearly wasn’t a factor that ever seemed to be of care, damages were done that need to be resolved, and the threats were not, and are not welcome.

ClearView Panes was a great experience. They were knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating to schedules. The pricing was identical with other companies and had better customer support.

We are very satisfied with the window installation and will be working with them in the future window installations.

Awesome work and even better communication and customer service. Hard to find a company that does what they say. With that being said I would recommend Clear View Panes for anybody looking to upgrade their windows.

Ana Sanchez on ClearView Panes

This company's owner took 50% of the order in advance, which is very common. But he reschedule the delivery of his work 3 times and we understand and accepted the reschedule. On July 7th was the date for the delivery and he responded in a text message that he was in Kansas. He will be contacting the company on Sunday. From Monday, he is not answering the phone, he hang up calls, he is not answering text messages. It is very unprofessional and the disappointment is huge, especially if you read his website where he mention his wife as a former teacher for the Frisco ISD and she left the teaching career to help him in his business. When I read this story, I was expecting that she will be bringing Moral, Compromise and Respect to the company. Don' trust this company.
