Recent reviews mention mixed experiences with scheduling, communication, and order accuracy, with some customers noting delays or product issues. Others report helpful in-store staff who resolve questions and keep installations tidy. Responsiveness appears to improve when customers visit the store directly, and installation workmanship is described as clean when projects proceed as planned. Overall ratings reflect variability between ordering, communication, and final outcomes.
Terrible experience from start to finish. The virtual apron consult didn’t even end in me purchasing the correct door for my needs. Seems like the associate just wanted to make a quick buck on commission which screwed me out of time, but fortunately was able to get my money back. On top of that, the installers they contracted (RF Installations) were not reliable on scheduling and were not professional in communication or service either. Not using Home Depot for anything ever again when other companies can get the job done.
Purchased three exterior doors. Home Depot made mistakes from the order to installation. The doors are on their website. They said they build them-custom made. When Home Depot installer went to pick up product they could not find the doors, then said they are up high on rafters and do not have a forklift driver to retrieve them. They measured wrong so there is a gap from flooring to doors. Cracked my tile! I picked color white and they only came primed and said I would have to paint them. What should have taken one to two days took weeks to install.
I began my inquiry online by requesting measurements for a security door replacement. There was a $40 fee for the measurement, which would be applied toward the installation if I chose to proceed. The virtual sales representative was polite, prompt, and attentive throughout the process.Although I had the option to complete everything online, I decided to visit the The Home Depot store on Madison in Riverside. The representative I worked with there was professional and courteous; however, he mistakenly added the door handle and lock set to my order twice, which resulted in an overcharge. When I pointed out the error, he was initially reluctant to correct it. Fortunately, another associate stepped in, confirmed the mistake, and insisted it be fixed. After some back and forth, the issue was resolved. I was later contacted to schedule the installation appointment. The installers were excellent. They arrived on time with all the necessary tools and were courteous, polite, and professional. The installation was completed in about an hour.In total, I paid approximately $750 for the door, door handle and lock set, parts, and labor. Despite the earlier issue in-store, I am pleased with the overall results.
Never went through with the door install because of how garbage the door I ordered was. The installer himself was great, took back the door for me but would not recommend a double bi fold barn door from home depot. Also, installation was more than the door itself. Wild.
After a rough start and not able to contact the person in Millwork over the phone or online. I went to the store and spoke directly to the person in closet doors who was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Her name is.Areli Figueroa from the Placentia, California Home Depot. Installation was quick and clean and overall, I am happy with the product
